It was nice but went on a minute too long, his vocals though.... People go on about somebody to love on Montreal but for me that song is overrated as fuck.

This song captivates you. You get drawn in thinking wow this song really is incredible and then Freddie sits down at the piano and takes it to a completely different level. Seems impossible this performance was 48 years ago. Someone else is going to watch this video 48 years from now and it'll still be just as awesome. 👑

This was written by Brian May from their second album Queen II. Another masterpiece from this album is March of the Black Queen. I saw Queen in 1976. We were right down in front in the orchestra pit when they were still playing small venues. I even interacted with Freddie, he gave me a rose and called me darling. Also shook Brian May’s hand and he let me request a song. ✌️❤️🎶

That is an amazing moment and memory! Wow 😁 I hear they still tour with someone filling in on the vocals now?

The guitar/piano interlude is beautiful. Brian's guitar just soars to the heavens (one of my fav's of his pieces). I do wish the cameraman had focused on Brian even a bit while it was going on. Freddie's vocals are stunning. His 70s vocals were a lot purer sounding to me. Great reaction.

This performance is musical perfection, it's so well built up. Pls, check out You Take My Breath Away at Hyde Park 76, just Freddie and his piano.

Thanks, Critical! This is one of my absolute favorites for the interplay between Freddie on Piano and Brian on guitar -- but you also can't discount the drums & bass - it's just a masterpiece!!

Very Tolkien with Lord of the Rings vibes!! Hauntingly & magically beautiful .. like a fairy tale hoping for love to conquer all. Brian was inspired by a crush he had on a girl in his college Biology class!! Lacked the courage to approach his “white queen” until it was too late! “So sad it ends .. as it began.”🧝🏻♀️🌿🌙🌟💫

Great reaction! Oh yes, they definitely have plenty of sad songs to choose from. You should react to “you take my breath away” live at Hyde Park. That would be a good one to start with. You will be absolutely mesmerized by a Freddie’s vocals.

The song is written by Brian May and he said it is about a girl at university that he was too shy to ask out. This is from their second album, Queen 2, and a lot of people think it is one of their best. They were experimenting with different sounds especially Freddie's songs. The record had side white (Brian's songs and one by Roger Taylor) and side black(Freddie's songs). It's a great album. Thanks for the reaction to early Queen. Live at the Rainbow 1974 is fantastic as well.

Thanks for your reaction to this. It's an amazing performance, and there was no auto-tune back then. Pure talent. Again thanks for your reaction.

It’s easy to forget this is live until you hear the audience cheering at the end. ‘70s Queen were very experimental with their sound & lyrics.

So much talent and passion coming from just 4 guys, who, l believe were all still in their twenties at the time...when l think of what l was doing in my twenties, l feel like l was wasting my time!🙄😁

Yes they made more music like that in the early years. This is from Queen's second album "Queen II", which was the peak of Queen's prog/prog rock/prog metal phase.

Yes, Brian and Roger still tour as Queen + Adam Lambert with Spike Edney on keyboard ( also called the fifth Queen - as he took over on the piano in the background to make it possible for Freddie to perform front stage). They also have a bass player and a percussionist - - and they can all sing - so in that way they can sing all the well known harmonies. If you want to hear a spine chilling version of "Who wants to live forever" You should listen to the 2016 version at the Isle of Wight festival. Adam is gay and the night before this performance there was a mass shooting in a gay bar in Orlando, Florida - so Adam dedicated the song to them and other victims of hate. It could have been Adam's friends? He is not Freddie - he does his own interpretation of the songs - he is theatrical - and he can sing " There is no other voice like that in the world" Quote Roger.

Now you have to do "March of the Black Queen/Funny How Love Is" from Queen II. The album was labeled Side White/Side Black. Unfortunately there isn't a live video of Black Queen, that I've found. There is a video of the two, must do both as the run together on the record, or you lose the feeling on the song.
