As you watch more Twin videos with Queen, this is clearly the 1st they are seeing from this concert but there are at least 2 others... You can tell they are in reverse order as he becomes more clothes.... Next vid he's in long pants but still no shirt, then they see what has to be the 1st or 2nd song of the concert and he even has a shirt on! A white ribbed tank top, but a shirt nonetheless!! Ha!

Sailor Dave - At least Deaky, the "quiet old English gentleman" did use his honors electrical engineering degree long enough to invent Brian's Deacy amp. He deserves to enjoy his life now. That was what he wanted. I'm happy for him. Did you know the Royal Mail issued a set of stamps featuring Queen? Only The Beatles and Pink Floyd received that honor.
@cromulentwords4 жыл бұрын
Deaky has, adorably, been married to his wife since 1975. They have six kids, and he wrote "You're My Best Friend" for her. He's a brilliant electrician, and built equipment for the band including an amp of his own invention. Brian May is a dedicated fox-and-badger conservationist, and released a version of the "Badger Badger Badger" meme song to protest badger culling. Roger Taylor has a wonderful old man beard, and his son is the drummer for The Darkness and Queen + Adam Lambert. Brilliant men all, as was Freddie.

The thing I loved about this band is that they had their own individual writing styles. John Deacon wrote from the bass & this is funky. Brian may move from the guitar and most of his songs were heavier and Freddie Mercury‘s vocals were in the tenor range versus his natural baritone. Roger route from the drums and came up with a radio gaga & others. I’m in love with my car!! That was because Rogers roadie bought an Alfa Romeo and he was in love with this car😂😂

Did you know Freddie was born in Africa? Specifically, Zanzibar, a large island off the coast of Tanzania, in the Indian Ocean. At the time(1946) it was a British protectorate & his parents were raised in India & moved to Zanzibar to work for the British government. When he was 17 there was a violent revolution & they fled to England. His family had long lived in India, belonging to an ethnic / religious group called Zoroastrians, who originated in Persia( Iran) & moved to India over a thousand years ago when the Arabs took over. In India they're known as parsees, which means Persians. This history probably explains why he always felt like an outsider or misfit. In Engla nd he didn't really fit in . He was 18 , started college & started assimilating. Music was the key. He'd been at an English style boarding school from the age of 8, took piano lessons for years& joined his first band at 12. They covered American rock & roll, Elvis, Little Richard , Chuck Berry, Fats Domino, etc. The music exec's in England thought his ethnicity might not be accepted, so they tried to whitewash him. One reason he was so loyal to his bandmates was that they didn't care@ his ethnicity or sexuality, but accepted him as he was. One thing I hear frequently when they talk @ him is : That's just Freddie.

"too comfortable" ... love it! Makes me nervous but, Freddie can do no wrong.... John Deacon, bass guitar -the guy in blue wrote it. Queen too fabulous. First time finding your reactions. Nice!
