Compared to Michael he's a total noob. He got the moves but it just doesn't click to the beat. He's out of sync like an instrument in a song. He got his timings wrong. Some movements need to be sped up and some need to be masked into moving slower. Everyone can do a moonwalk until you watch the technique explained and get the complexity involved, especially when MJ evolved it into perfection moving his neck, head and hands more naturally. MJ was a crazy perfectionist. You want to dance to an MJ song, you need to be at least a perfectionist. MJ told Oprah we was out of form in her interview with him. 99,99% of the world couldn't do his moves shown in the interview, even if they practised each day. MJ isn't alone in this. Many stars were unique. Not just in music but in sport as well. Icons are icons for a reason.

He has a moveset that's split between old MJ BJ and end of career MJ's BJ. He forgets two iconic MJ moves. The way he throws his hat alone is completely off compared to both old school MJ as older MJ. He's not good because he doesn't feel or live the song. He doesn't know why MJ chose the moves he made. None of the essential emotional moves are in his performance. I've watched a few MJ videos and tbf he plainly sucks. Just the amount of profile imagery is totally lost which makes the movements credible. He's singing/complaining to someone else, not the audience.
