I always pray for the clergy and all souls in purgatory everyday sometimes twice a day. I give Mary my sufferings to give to Jesus for his intentions, it was drummed into me just by watching my parents and 7 brothers and two sisters. I did leave the Church for 27 years but went back when I was 44. I am now coming up to 68 and eternity is getting closer, so regret all the things I've done; thank goodness the good Lord gave us Reconciliation.

I pray that Almighty God reveal his love to you. Jesus is love, just love not expecting anything in return.
@dasan91783 жыл бұрын
That’s one of the saddest things I’ve ever heard. Not even by your OWN children? Still…not FEELING loved and not BEING loved are two different things. The fact is…you ARE loved by Christ with unfathomable intensity. When we allow His love to fill us, we’re far more able to have, feel and share love with others. The Rosary has done far more to help me discover the truth of this than 20 years of family therapy. No Rosary has impacted me quite so strongly as Divine Will Flame of Love Rosaries. When I turned down the music and paused the video long enough to truly read and contemplate the message, it hit home. I spent a long time sobbing in relief at the intensity of the love of our Creator. The benefits have even spilled over into my family. We’ve become far more supportive and loving.
@michellegiroux51923 жыл бұрын
The reason why I don’t feel love from my children is because my former husband has turned them against me. They believe everything he tells them. It is the saddest thing ever because all I ever want to be was a mother. I was a great mother and my former husband knows this. His sees everything. I look at it as a cross I have to carry. Never felt love from my parents either. I pray the rosary everyday. I know God is love but still feel unworthy of His love because I am a sinner who trying to become a saint. I ask for His help and Mother Mary as well. But I still don’t feel love. I can give love but don’t feel it.

Christine, talking about the sacrament of reconciliation, it's important to mention that an absolution by a Priest forgives the sin confessed, but there is still reparation to do and that is what is accomplished in purgatory. That reparation in purgatory can be shorten through Partial or Plenary Indulgences offered by the Church and can be obtained while still alive. Another interesting knowledge of the effect of Living in the Divine Will as explained to Luisa Piccarreta is that if you are living in full in the Divine Will, you are assured of Salvation and no purgatory for you.

Father, I could thank you for SO many things you included in your comments ... BUT, I must first say that my beloved Father who passed away in 1999 used to drift into a bit of a brogue after tasting a bit of the scotch. That would consistently follow, also with an EXTREMELY deep brogue, with the deep, emotional singing of Danny Boy which was the song sung as his body was carried out of St. John the Baptist church in Peabody, Massachusetts! As Christine accurately says, a man like my father would likely believe absolutely anything you said with your accent. He was a simple man who I have prayed many Rosaries for and offered many Masses. Loved this video. Since my daughter’s death 2 yrs ago, I’ve been very concerned about Purgatory. My husband insists it “burns the Hell out of you.” After also watching the Mist of Mercy video, I believe it can likely be better understood as a place of purification rather than punishment. I’m not certain it means my husband’s perspective is wrong since it’s based on visions of Saints. I don’t know. I’m looking into it more to try to reconcile this insight with his view.

My understanding of Purgatory is that it’s a place of purification, and that every single person there repented of their sins and came to know and love Jesus (even if at the last moment). For any pedo or rapist to make it to Purgatory, he would have to first understand the gravity of his sin and sincerely repent. I understand your disgust with this particular type of sin. My son’s life was ruined by a pedophile. Though it may be more likely the abuser will end up in Hell, I started praying for his repentance because the thought of his true repentance was far more satisfying than the thought of his eternal torment. As to the “young girl” in Purgatory, there are many more things we don’t know than things we do. No idea how much truth there is to that particular story. All I had ever heard of Purgatory before was that it’s a place of torment much like Hell…except for the eventual hope of Heaven. I confess, it never made a lot of sense to me, but the thought of a young girl stuck in torment is disturbing. At the very least, there’s a lot more to this we don’t understand because God is never unjust, without love or mercy. The video Mist of Mercy provides another perspective of Purgatory as a place of purification that makes more sense. It can indeed be very painful, especially at the early stages where people are just beginning to deal with the weight of their thoughts and actions in life. Since there are levels of Hell and Heaven, it’s easy to believe there are also levels of Purgatory. This explains why when the seer, Anne, first saw Purgatory, she mistook it for Heaven. It may begin as a very purgative experience, but the closer to Heaven one gets, the more like Heaven it becomes…at least that’s what I got from the videos…and believe is likely true. I hope you don’t walk away from the Faith. My husband and I did walk away for several years. During that time our lives went from bad to worse. Yes, there are problems in the Church and members of the hierarchy who are wolves in sheep’s clothing. You don’t abandon your Lord and Lady’s house because someone let wolves in. Considering our Lord and Lady gave everything to us without holding anything back, wouldn’t it be better to help clean their house and eliminate the wolves? Besides, these same wolves are everywhere. You can’t escape them. We tried. It’s why we returned to stand our ground in the one place where it truly mattered and could accomplish something.

She might be a young girl. Yet have comitted such terrible things. Like abortion. Maybe not one but more. So that chastisement will be suitable according to her sins.

Irish, perhaps watch Father Chris Alar's You Tube channel Divine Mercy. He talks about Purgatory. So does Fr. Mitch Pacwa, S.J. on EWTN you tube channel

Well I think the scriptures you reference for “ proof” of purgatory are a stretch. Do biblical scholars support your assertions?

21“You have heard that it was said to your ancestors,n ‘You shall not kill; and whoever kills will be liable to judgment.’* 22* But I say to you, whoever is angry* with his brother will be liable to judgment,o and whoever says to his brother, ‘Raqa,’ will be answerable to the Sanhedrin, and whoever says, ‘You fool,’ will be liable to fiery Gehenna. 23Therefore, if you bring your gift to the altar, and there recall that your brother has anything against you,p 24 leave your gift there at the altar, go first and be reconciled with your brother, and then come and offer your gift. 25 Settle with your opponent quickly while on the way to court with him.q Otherwise your opponent will hand you over to the judge, and the judge will hand you over to the guard, and you will be thrown into prison. 26 Amen, I say to you, you will not be released until you have paid the last penny. 38 Judas rallied his army and went to the city of Adullam. As the seventh day was approaching, they purified themselves according to custom and kept the sabbath there. 39 On the following day, since the task had now become urgent, Judas and his companions went to gather up the bodies of the fallen and bury them with their kindred in their ancestral tombs. 40But under the tunic of each of the dead they found amulets sacred to the idols of Jamnia, which the law forbids the Jews to wear. So it was clear to all that this was why these men had fallen.f 41 They all therefore praised the ways of the Lord, the just judge who brings to light the things that are hidden. 42* Turning to supplication, they prayed that the sinful deed might be fully blotted out. The noble Judas exhorted the people to keep themselves free from sin, for they had seen with their own eyes what had happened because of the sin of those who had fallen.g 43 He then took up a collection among all his soldiers, amounting to two thousand silver drachmas, which he sent to Jerusalem to provide for an expiatory sacrifice. In doing this he acted in a very excellent and noble way, inasmuch as he had the resurrection in mind; 44 for if he were not expecting the fallen to rise again, it would have been superfluous and foolish to pray for the dead. 45 But if he did this with a view to the splendid reward that awaits those who had gone to rest in godliness, it was a holy and pious thought. 46 Thus he made atonement for the dead that they might be absolved from their sin.
