Hi, I had an abortion when I was 19 and I am now 62. I think Patricia's testimony has helped me to want to do the Rachel's Vineyard Retreat, even though I feel that I have had healing at various points throughout my life. PRAY, this is what I did while working for an agency for single mom's and we were not allowed to speak to anyone re abortions, either for or against it. One of my clients wanted me to go with her to a Clinic to have an abortion, I started praying from the moment she asked me to go. I was sick to my stomach the while there, as it was, the place was crowded and they told us it was going to be a little while longer so we went for coffee and I could see she was terrified and not so sure of going through with this. The whole time there I PRAYED she wouldn't go through with it...she ended up walking back into the clinic and as soon as he walked in, yelled I can't do this and we left. This was a very shy and meek person, who God gave the strength to do the right thing. After she had her beautiful baby girl and I was able to tell her how I prayed she thanked me over and over again, even years later. Can't help but feel I was born to save this dear little one's life and her mother from making a terrible decision that she would regret for the rest of her life. So PRAY, PRAY, PRAY. Show less

@@jesussaves4634 Mary interceded in the wedding at Cana for the bride and groom who ran out of wine and Jesus did what she asked even He said Himself it wasn’t time yet. Praying = sincerely/earnest asking Praying ≠ Worshipping Jesus loves His earthly mother very much, that He even asked her to be taken care of by His apostles and disciples when He ascended. As followers of Christ, we must love His Mother as much as He loved her.

THE LORD had blessed us with 3children and unexpectedly a fourth child was conceived which we felt we could not afford We purchased an airline ticket for U K to have the abortion Then on a Sunday before her departure a visiting preacher stopped his sermon to speak against abortion We came under extreme conviction against abortion Years later I confessed to my son that the LORD REDEEMED HIM IN his mother's womb Today that son is the BIGGEST BLESSING in my life with all HIS LOVE CARE PROVISION THANK YOU LORD

Thank you for sharing your story and being the voice of the unborn. I have a part of my heart that is reserved for these innocent little beings and I also speak up amongst family and friends whenever I can to whomever wants to hear the truth. I also try to help women who want to keep their babies but can't afford everything for their child. I feel called to search around within my community and find the items the mom may need and or buy them some of the things that I can afford. We need to educate young people about the risk of unsafe sex, the high health risk of STDs and unwanted pregnancy. Safe sex is needed to be learned to prevent unwanted pregnancies and contracting STDs.

Im strictly atheist - i always thought religious people and the teachings in general were kinda condesensing and ignorant, mostly with the "purity culture" in the church (mostly my old churches). The thing people get so wrong about Pro Life Catholics is thinking that we believe abortion is wrong because of some religious dogma. This is a misunderstanding. Yes, as Christians we believe human life is sacred. But that is not so different from the rest of society; most people think murder is worse than killing an animal. It then follows that destroying a human life, no matter what stage of development it is in, is wrong. This should give pause to people who believe the spiritual isn't real; why are those with no faith in God so easily misled by faulty thinking?
