the definition of sounding tight it's this video. No tricks, no computer crap, just pure practice and mastery of being together in the song. No wonder Dave Grohl says they are the best sounding live band in the world.

i think Between The Buried and Me would compete for that crown. Best sounding live band I've heard yet. They have some live videos that sound almost tighter than studio and I mean it. I loved seeing QOTSA in Toronto it was a nice sounding show. I also wasn't a fan of the venue however.

Didn't try to. What I meant by "computer crap" is autotunes used for performance (not creative) purposes, no playback for instruments or backing tracks for performance aid. This is authentic, that's what I meant. No disregard for electronic artists! Sorry for the misunderstanding.@@MathieuLaflamme

I saw them in ATL as well. I got to meet them after the show!! Waited by the tour buses and got selfies with each of them, even got a selfie with Jesse. Josh and Troy signed my QOTSA shirt!

100%; the album was great but to me it felt a bit like qotsa reaching that dreaded point of becoming a cover band of themselves... but listening ti then live changes everything; this is a delight to listen to and to watch

I still remember seeing them back on their first tour, when they were traveling in a van and Josh was slinging their swag at the merch table. It's a completely different band now, but I'll always like 'em.

Best band in the world! This band has carried me through every adversity in the last 10 years. Every single album tells its own story and depicts the evolution of Josh Homme’s life and the band. If you have just heard of them I urge that you explore the entire discography. Every song is a masterpiece. Seen them 10 years ago and can’t wait to see them again in Melbourne in February 2024!! 🤘🤘🤘

Saw them front row in Philly this past summer (have some vids on my channel if anyone’s interested). I’m 35 and been a fan since I blind bought Lullabies the week it came out in 2005. It was utterly surreal to finally be seeing them live, much less to be mere feet from Joshua and directly in front of his mic for the entire gig. They were phenomenal live and it was one of the greatest shows I’ve ever been to.

We just took our 3 kids ages 18-23 to see QOTSA this past Tuesday on 12-12 for our wedding anniversary and it wasn't the first time I've seen them but it was the best because our kids were all there with us. And they played I Wanna Make It Witchu and Little Sister which are my two favorite songs even though it's impossible to pick any favorites. 👑🕊️🤙🏼

@@SunofShasta He's the best! I prayed so hard that there would be a miracle that somehow added us to the tour and it happened! Now I've got to find a way to be able to take my son to the Chili Peppers. I was able to take him to the Foo Fighters that last August before Taylor passed. I saw both The FF and the RHCP back in 2000 right after my oldest was born. To my kids being able to see all 3 bands in concert is the perfect musical trifecta lol.

Stolen title from a Silverchair song. Also the qotsa song 'I think I lost my headache' intro riff is stolen from the song 'freak' by Silverchair. Homme would probably never admit he was influenced by Silverchair but hey qotsa is still the better band and he is still the best rock guitar player in the last 20 years.

Saw them back in August in Toronto and it was the best concert/experience ever! Loved it they are soooo good live

Excellent. They're tighter than at the start of touring this past summer. Great mix, too. You can hear everybody clean.

I just watched their whole live show at Pukkelpop back in 2014. Before that I was watching their live show in France this year. They definitely sound a lot tighter now than they did before. They really work well as a band nearly 30 years on. This was very well put together. I just miss Josh's goatie beard thing!

Saw them in SF in October, they absolutely slammed and are the most airtight live band I've ever seen. Amazing show.
