...and being very dissapointed to find out that it's just a pair of socks that you thought you threw out five years ago. The verses on both these new songs are terrible, just spaces to wait for the chorus in with riffs so generic Homme from 10 years ago would have assaulted anyone had they presented one to him, and while the choruses have their hooks they're hooks we've heard many times before, so far it all sounds incredibly uninspired. It'll be interesting to see if there's a single properly written and thought out song on the album or if it's just an extension of Villains.

I feel that. Emotion Sickness is "cool", a little mainstream and pop tho, definitely lead single material. But it just doesn't hit you in the feels as much. This and Carnavoyeur is what I like out of them.

Ha, I believe the name is about the writing style of the main riff. Good tune because that main riff breaths and gives room for interplay for call and response with that bass fill.
