I don't like the production values, it sounds far more studio and compressed then it should to my ear. They were called Queens Of The Stone age by somebody because they had very used and old equipment and a raw sound -this does not sound "live" enough for me. I bet this song will rock live with actual real sounding drum and base and the energy they always bring to a live show but this sounds like it was recorded in a vacuum. I'd love it if they could get away from Mark Ronson production values and maybe work with Rick Ruben to help get them back to the stoner rock or invent a fresh new hybrid. I can't wait to see them do this live to see if it validates my opinion.
@marcbasil

@@1ManNamedDan …what in gods name are you even talking about 😳🤦🏻LOL. Wow. This is pathetic. CHRIS *FREAKING* GOSS used to call K Y U S S the “queens of the Stone Age” in the studio, because although they were heavy as a brick, they still had a soft & mellow side. Seriously, who does not know that? Where do some of you plebs come up with this nonsense…? 😳😳😳🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻 Also, you can be honest & come right out & say it: it sounds horrible. Homme is irrelevant & has been since 2004. 1992-2004 Homme is a GOAT, especially in KYUSS. After Oliveri split in 2004, Homme is nothing, not a factor. The last good thing he recorded was that Desert Sesh with PJ. Duh. Also, LOL @ Rick Rubin, a hahahaha

I bought Era Vulgaris the day it cam out. I was at the door of the record store at opening time, with one single purpose. I was blazed. I got my copy and went straight home and put it on and got blazed some more. I quite literally listened to nothing else for the next 4-6 months. I just couldn't get enough of it. I still love it to bits, but then Like Clockwork came out, and eclipsed it, and then Villains topped even that, and now here we are, a new album about to whip the shit out of all of them. Best band ever.

Since it came out a few weeks ago, I can't get this song out of my head. I was a bit lukewarm at first, but the chorus just infected my brain. Every part of this music video is so hypnotic: the dancers and their choreography, the machete-wielding person, the Mighty Mouse mask-wearing hooligans...everything.

This is the absolute BEST video you guys have done so far….. The lyrics, the imagery, the specific imagery you matched at certain lyrics? Brilliant. I am going through a particularly tough soul crushing and life changing experience of loss myself… and this whole thing spoke to me like someone was there experiencing it with me and created a projection of all my thoughts and feelings. It feels like this was made for me. Thank you for being so vulnerable with this piece of art. You don’t know how much I needed it. You’ve blown my mind since Kyuss and early Desert Sessions. You never compromised your realness to the music and I respect that so much. You’re my damn hero Josh ❤
