They’re just annoyingly brilliant. “Hey what if we took a Hives-esque riff and threw some psychedelic leads at odd angles?” Josh is obviously the blood of the band but he gleefully surrounds himself with top notch dudes who add to the vibe. All hail.

I saw these in perth in 2020 and was so delighted and surprised to see them coming to Australia and perth of all places. Josh said to the people in the stalls to come to the front and then basically told the security guards to go F themselves for stopping the people. So Josh took control of the stadium and gathered people down to the front. Of course they ended with Go with the flow and of course I went insane excited for it! 😁

Am I wrong that the last two albums, while solid, are a bit of a step down? There's a sort of stylistic sameness that crept in with Villains, and what I mean is, there isn't the slight left turn from track to track that really defined thr band and made them unique. I'm not saying they've lost it or anything, but maybe they've gotten a bit dull.
@adamedwards2817 Жыл бұрын
You’re not wrong if that’s how you feel about it, it’s down to taste. I conversely love this album and put it down as my #1 QOTSA album. Both tastes are just as valid, neither right nor wrong, it’s about resonance!
