+Nightwalk This is one of the positive benefits of being part of this generation. You can ask thousands of people for their opinion of what their definition of good music is exactly, thus expediting the process of discovery. Back in my day (yes, I'm an old man) we went to the record store, and discuss "good" music but from a much, MUCH more limited scope. In short: I like what you're doing here. Don't let anyone tell you you're too young (or old) to experience new things, and keep on keeping on! Your approach is, by a wide margin, the best method to get to the core of your own musical preferences and understanding. I'm kind of jealous, in a way...

This whole album was inspired by Josh and how he felt traveling through the desert only being able to listen to the radio which played the same songs over and over. Hence all the radio style commercials and DJ's in between songs. I listened to this whole album multiple times driving through the desert and I gotta say it's an amazing experience. And Josh doesnt do the screaming, that is Nick, their former bassist.

The best lineup QOTSA ever had. Three different vocalists makes the whole album great to listen to, and then Dave Grohl on drums. It's a masterpiece, yet it's not my favourite album. That would be Rated R, even though I wouldn't describe that album as a masterpiece.

This album is the foundation of rock in the 2000's, you made the right pick listening to this one. It took the band 10 years to reach anywhere near these heights and to have this impact again on future artists. Josh Homme is the old-man in the coffee shop talking to the younger folks how to do it and gosh if Queens wasn't playing for radio space against lumps like Smash Mouth and Nickelback there would be a real argument that they were the Zepplin of our time instead of the Joy Division or Talking Heads. Nice vid friend, I'm glad you like this oldy and gem

Also you should listen to the guitar solo on God is in the Radio. And the lyrics to Songs for the Deaf are good to pay attention to coupled with a good song. I was disappointed to not see your reaction to that one... dark and clever. It’s about cancer. And it’s fantastic.

I was about 13 when this album came out, and I remember when I was on a school bus trip going through France listening to this album over and over again. I had only that one album for my Walkman. It was a surreal and atmospheric experience.

I just recently listened to this whole album (only heard No One Knows beforehand) and it's incredibly solid throughout. And the thing that makes it even cooler to me is that Dave Grohl did the drums for the album, and Mark Lanegan of Screaming Trees is a member, doing vocals at times

was so good to see you enjoy this album!!! it is truly great. this band is truly great. You should just listen to these songs played live though! They did songs for the deaf as an opening and song for the dead as a closing in their last tour!! I was there and it just was explosive.

Interesting enough, the first song you heard is actually a bonus song found in the pre-gap on CDs Also, Dave Grohl is the drummer for this album, he also does parts of ...Like Clockwork Mark Lanegan is the 3rd singer you heard on Hangin' Tree

Like clockwork is the best album (personal preference) but Deaf is definitely the best album to get someone into QOTSA. BTW the “intro” song wasnt meant to be a song, it was hidden in the album. The real album starts with the car radio part.

This may be my new favourite video on the Internet. My favourite band of all time, favourite album of all time, and favourite youtuber all in the same video. But I am surprised that you didn't like Song for the Dead as much as No One Knows because Song for the Dead is widely accepted among die-hard fans as one of, if not, the best song on the album. Different strokes for different folks I guess. Quality vid. Big up.

I've talked about this in another video, but it's really impossible to tell what songs are your favorite on a first listen. Sometimes it takes me 10-20 listens to really say for sure, I'll let you know how my opinions update! Thanks so much for the support :D
