I gotta respect you for sticking with the class. I too, have played awk drak since its release, and I absolutely loved her dragon mommy style as it resonated with me. I stuck through all the nerfs because I thought they were justified. In fact, OGs will know that drak didn’t used to have insane heals at launch, and that’s ok. So the nerfs up to this point were painful, but justified. EXCEPT protection nerfs. FG are absolutely useless on this class. I don’t care how you worded it positively, but for an animation-locked class, FG is just an invitation to get cc-ed. Don’t even consider grabs, any skill that can “block jump” or ignore collision will rekt you so bad. I used to struggle with using QBlock because there’s an uncancellable animation of unfolding her wings. I hated it and would tell myself, “that’s ok, it’s just 1 skill, I’ll just use Sblock instead when I’m near an enemy”. But now, that shit’s on literally EVERY useful skill. So, I’m now a lahn who takes the chance to punish any remaining awakening drak I see 😉 PA wanna kill the class, let’s help them. “Nothing beats a man scorned” kekw thank for listening to my rant

I'm not sure what to think overall. I'm playing the class since it released, I love her. She needed some nerfs to be fair, I'm ok with that, but it's quite much. But still, I love my Drakania and I won't stop playing her. Love, Drak friends !

I don't think i'm gonna quit drak but I absolutely HATE the SA>FG changes. The class cant trade in 1v1 1vx or largescale at all anymore. catches are much riskier now with the exception of the stiff from preawak tree but the followup leaves your back exposed. i find myself running out of stam much more often. Part of why I fell in love with the class was that it's constant action. High sustain and low stamina cost compared to a lot of other classes. All in all i think they went too far with the protection changes but the rest of it I'm fine with. Especially the hp regen. I'll readily admit it needed a nerf and i think the nerf they gave it is totally reasonable. This video sums it up pretty well

i played drak for over 12 months now, every kind of nerf, dmg and healing wise was manageable so far, BUT the Superarmor/frontal guad change literally killed the class. the whole playstyle is no longer working. it feels horrible.

That's because it was busted. It's damage in Solare was insane, you could not pressure her, you could not catch her and she was super protected almost 100 percent. She could literally fly in, snag a couple of skills, heal an insane amount and leave. She was busted and annoying to fight against.

Drakania is my alt so I'm not a pro at the class by any means. But to me it feels completely unplayable in PvP now. You have a severe lack of SA and too many FGs, and in this meta where a ton of classes can easily get behind you, having half your skills be FG is a death sentence. Like in AoS whenever I try to do literally anything I just get instantly laid onto the ground. Maybe it's a skill issue, but even the best drakania players like Quizage are rerolling so I don't think it's just my problem...

Thank you for this video, more people need to know the real state of the class! As a Drakania tag enjoyer I found myself forced out of the class for now since it was my "better skirmish class" option that is no more. I had to argue (and ofc got downvoted) with some guy in Reddit about he stating that "Drakania Awk still has plenty of protection". Sure, if you consider running around in pre-awk offering nearly zero threat I can agree. I saw way too many people celebrating this nerf and crying about little nerf to their classes. This kind of nerf shouldn't be given to any class. Even so, we see Zerk receiving buffs XDDDD.

ok, I never PVPed with Awk Drakania, I know it was not optimal for PVE, but because of it great animations, I grinded with it, to say the truth I didn't touch it lately, I was grinding hard places for my gear score, so I played with more efficient and safer classes. Lately I give it another go, men I know the nerfs should be for PVP but I have a feeling now Drakania now starves for Stamina, before If I miss my rotation, I can run into Stamina probs but now, it is nearly unplayable, specially I don't understand this Tip of Scale changes, if you move 150 Stam gone, I get that for PVP but how that works for PVE. Are the devs think, you stand still and DPS in PVE, so no movement for going back attacks, avoiding obvious damage. Am I the only one having problems with Drakania in PVE?

Stand in a group and do SA moves? At least 15 other classes can do that just fine. It's not asking much. I mean we literally have to try and play on sidelines with animation lock skills. This isn't like Woosa and Maegu that have a million cancels on fg moves.

I really just want SA back on the 2 non-CC moves in dragonblood. Like the video says, if you use a super armor rotation you quickly run out of stamina. Every class should have a protected skill rotation that they can use TO USE when they need to regen stamina. Now the moment an Awaegu sees us use either of these 2 skills they just press F and instantly float us and there's nothing we can do about it.

Interestingly this puts Drakania more in line with classes like warrior, ninja, striker, etc that didn't see as much large scale use (particularly in uncapped). PA clearly has an issue balancing these types of classes (melee/assassin style bruisers that counter squishy backlines) for larger scale fights. Drak was the pick over these classes because it brought almost everything you needed to thrive in larger battles (protected damage, very fast, somewhat tanky, on demand heals, s, limited FG skills needed/used). I believe this highlights more of an issue with PA not understanding what these types of classes need to see use inside largescale pvp. Maybe they don't want them in NWs/Guild League. Either way still one of the best AOS classes, at least.

I mean I see what you mean about their use in largescale but its for completely different reasons. (maybe similar reasons for Ninja i guess) Warrior and Striker are a completely different breed. Those classes are almost entirely protected. Striker has so many cancels from moves and now has that one move (dont remember what it's called off the top of my head) CCs on every hit with a big aoe

I belive the change of protection was well deserved they had a lot of speed damage self sastain and as well as protection it’s not unplayable just means u have to choose ur fights and engages The class has been very strong and their was a reason that everyone was rolling to it it offerd to much with little risk and was taking away from the other many well rounded classes in the game Look at awake dk yes she’s got more frames but she’s a fg trading class I belive if u learn the new play style and other new mechanics other than just run in dump all ur damage skills that was also sa was very unbalanced their is a lot of classes that don’t have grabs and could not stop a drakania at all and could barely escape with their life and even if the did a Drak could catch them the instant they caught sight so I think Drak is a good class still they just have to adjust to it

Thoughts on it, even best pvp draks on eu left this class, qzg has more games on nova than drak in aos, others are or musas or novas etc, for capped it's dead, for uncapped it's dead, viable only flank or guild league if you are taking risks with ToS engages etc. nothing else you can do on her. It was a short beautiful story as being top1 in GL and many times on NW's with her in my guild.

Awa mystic was fantastic for 4 years following its origional nerfs. Then the class was effectivly disabled for a year and a half by the rework. The only reason it does damage now is because of the reversal of the damage nerfs it recieved on rework, and a change that lets her implement more dragon usage during comboing. Look on the bright side, do you still have all your mobility and most of your damage.
