Tarantino talking about Sharon in such high-esteem in terms of her acting ability is really refreshing and wholesome. His tribute towards her in OUATIH was achieved in great taste, and graciously done. RIP Sharon 🌹

So '60s! Love the Lincoln Conti limo and the gold Mark III. They used to play this on Encore 30 years ago. Sharon was also great in Fearless Vampire Killers (😬).

I enjoyed all the Matt Helm movies as a kid they were basically a parody of the James Bond films. Dean Martin was fun and Sharon Tate was wonderfull! This was sad because of what happened to her and her life and career was ended by a maniac. Tragically. RIP

haven't seen the movie, based on these clips god damn how many times is dean martin getting in cover for a bomb.

Donald Hamilton's Matt Helm series was absolutely the best of the spy books of that era; easily better IMO than Ian Fleming's. They were hard-edged, tough, brutal, utterly without humor, silliness, or sentiment. There was a gritty realism to them. Nothing at all like the goofy Dean Martin movies. Would love to see a new Matt Helm series that actually tracked the books and presented them straight.

Dean was heartbroken when she was killed and canceled plans for the fifth movie because he wouldn't do it without her.

I scored a box full of Sci-fi, spy and adventure novels when I was a kid so got to read the Bond and Helm stories before the films came out. The Matt Helm books were really good, the movie adaptations were disappointing. They would be great as film noir rather than the Bond-esque movies we got.

John Hamm all the way can revive this genre, smoking, drinking, driving with better fight scenes.

As a huge fan of Sharon Tate and she did a great job in this movie, it is not the best entry in this series. The Silencers was hands down the best version and as great as she is, Stella Stevens was better and had more chemistry with Dean Martin. Dean was clearly in sleep mode in this film. A shame Tate didn't get to a follow-up. I think her momentum would have perhaps changed everything. Such a shame! Her final movie 13 chairs was more of this side and I liked it. May her killers and mastermind be judged in accordance to their actions in the afterlife.

Tate got the dirty water but they reserved the mud for Stevens. Damn, she wore it with real class. My favorite scene from Silencers.

@@markcraven8386 Unforgettable for sure! Stella Stevens was killer beautiful in the 60's. It was another level.

I don't think there's any doubt that Sharon Tate would have been a big star, she was far more than just eye candy. Her comedy chops were formidable but it would have been interesting to see her evolve beyond that to do a dramatic role and it wouldn't be a stretch to think she'd be honored by the Academy. Its sad how things turned out and it makes me angry.

What a lousy movie. It's embarrassing to hear Tarantino go on about it so. What a waste of time and talent. Poor Sharon deserved a much better vehicle than this for her last movie. Dean looked smashed all the way through it.
@calvinhobbes611812 күн бұрын
The best part of the movie is the babes. Tate and Elke save the movie, while Dean is terrible, hes overweight, slow, and drunk.

This whole series is great satire of James Bond. Dean is fun anytime he's on screen in anything.
