Thanks for the vid, I look forward to trying drop dead again and many others will feel like brand new games I hope too with the improvements in graphics. I read that most games using unreal engine 4 I think it is, will get an auto upgrade of sorts without the devs doing anything at all. I can’t recall where I heard this and don’t quite understand it but hopefully it is true. I do worry that game sizes will be increased substantially though. A major reason to get the Q3 for me is lack of space on the 2. Roll on a TB version! 😂

Yeah me too, and thanks for watching! I don't know about the auto-upgrade stuff, because Devs will need to add textures, shadows, etc. to make it better, but they might run smoother due to the more powerful hardware. We'll have to wait and see but it's looking like we're gonna get lots of improvements due to the new hardware.

@@VRManCave here you go found the thing I read it was from uploadvr, but not sure if it’s true…. Great if is though. “Quest 3 Automatically Renders At Higher Resolution In Almost All Apps & Games. Even without updates from developers, almost all VR games run at higher resolution on Quest 3. In the Unity and Unreal engines, which almost all VR apps are made with, Quest developers don't set the rendering resolution with pixel values.”

I will be a new VR user when I get a Quest 3 and I am confused on one point. When the narrator talks about enhancements to games does that mean that I would have to buy a new version of the game that the developers have recently worked on to take advantage of the new capabilities of the Quest 3 before I see the improved visuals......textures etc. or would the Quest 3 just enhance what was always there in the game but could not be seen when using the older less capable Quest 2? Thank you.

It’s the same games, just improved. If you had the games on Quest 2, then they would have these improvements on Quest 3. Things like faster loading time may happen by default, but any textures, lighting, shadows, etc. need to be added by developers. But yeah, same games, same versions, will run on both Quest and 2.

Although it will not be an upgraded version, I definitely HOPE for a Pinball FX release. Pinball FX2 was awesome.

I think everything should look better due to the pancake lenses. At least on the Quest Pro the same games look so much nicer than on Quest 2 just cause of the lenses.

I hope so too! But I'd assume all the big developers are updating their games for Quest 3. It wouldn't make sense for them not to.
