Nissan Murano CVT transmission Repair Part 2

Do you have some detailed pictures /videos regarding the working of the parking pawl. I have a murano and it want to go in park at very low speeds (vibrations felt in the shifting lever, very faint rattling noise when the car is on stands and put in drive), reverse seem to be more noisy .

hello, I am using this video as a visual aid in diagnosing a problem a 07 Nissan Altima is having. the noise is very similar to a bearing noise. The race you took off: was there a bearing attached to the differential? If so, Have you ever came across one that was bad?

Yes, bearing go bad often in these units. Sonnax makes bearings for this unit I think. Google sonnax transmission parts and either search or call tech support.

You can install a used transmission, however, it needs to be reprogrammed for the computer in the vehicle. Thanks for the tutorial tho. I now know what my transmission looks like inside for future reference and problems.

Hello I realize this video is several years old and hopefully you can answer my questions im getting ready to rebuild my wife's 2011 nissan murano LE 3.5L AWD and my question is I'm trying to find the right valve body are JF010E / RE0F09A / AND RE0F09B are they all the same valve body or do I need to find 1 of the 3 to be the right valve body I just want to make sure I order the right valve body the first time any help would be greatly appreciated thank you

Good day I have a question. That area where the transfer case meets the transmission. I'm still having a leak even thought i changed those seals. Any idea Why its happening??

What leak is it, the transmission or the transfer case leaking? If it is the transmission seal, then when you put mate the transmission to the transfer case, it could be that the seal is being damaged. It could also mean the transfer case seal is being damaged also.

Is this transmission similar to the 07 altima 3.5? I've encountered a code P0845 which is a malfunction to circuit B pressure sensor or a short. Voltage readings seem good on the TCM and harness. I've tried reaching out to my local Nissan Stealership however like you mentioned in the video, they are of no help. So if the sensor is bad, is there someone who sells it? I've googled my butt off!

I have some units here at the shop that I have not built because I have not had the time. We do a lot of in-house work. So the short answer is not at the moment.

@@thisisyourtransmission I got the vehicle thinking it might need a transmission because of a constant whining. Changed the filter and fluid and the whining stopped for 200 miles or so. Now today it's jerking under any kind of a load when pulling out. I did find some small chunks in the pan today so it's shot I guess. Question now is can it be rebuilt at all?

Is this transmission same as 2008 Nissan Versa cvt ?

Someone gave me a 2004 Merano just because they were tired of this transmission. Never threw a code and no Nissan mechanic could tell them what was wrong with it. It just won't move sometimes at stop lights in the summer mostly. I drive it around town, but only for short trips. 190,000 miles and not worth fixing I think.

@@thisisyourtransmission Yes, along with a few other mechanics. It grumbles and shudders at slow speeds and goes into limp mode in hot weather. A bigger transmission cooler and a transmission service might help. Fluid is brown. Runs and drives and not bad for a free car. They threw thousands into it through Nissan

@@thisisyourtransmission By the records they replaced the throttle body and MAF sensor. Car has 192K on it. They could never duplicate the car going into limp mode. It is interminant in summer time. Not sure what to do with it. A lot of miles to be throwing money at it. I think the tranny is just on its last leg and acts up due to wear and heat.

My 2014 Nissan Maxima does not move or moves very slowly when put into drive or reverse. A code P0746 came up (Pressure Control Solenoid A Performance/Stuck Off). Local transmission shops (2 To be exactly) told me that transmission is done. Should I accept the fact that the transmission needs to be replace and spend the $3200.00 asked to perform the job?

questioning3 The vehicle have 105000. Transmission is 1XE3E. The shop said the transmission would be a remanufactured one. The cost for the transmission is $2800.00 and labor $700.00. After hearing you talking about the difficulty of finding replacement parts and availability to these transmissions, make me doubt if the transmission is a remanufactured for fact!
