Hey guys, always luv your vid's. Fellow Texans here too. 32 years in Katy, Tx. Also sold everything to go FT and no regrets. We did however decide to buy an RV site in RGV to spend winters in. And Phil, I'm like you. Do your homework and MAINTENANCE. I'm really big on that stuff. OH, BTW...Phil looks like your shoulder has healed and you're out of your sling. Wow that was pretty quick. Joanie had shoulder syrgery years ago and it took her 3 months before she was-kinda- back to normal. Today she's fine. Anyways good vid guys. 👍 💕

I have no idea what it would be like to have a channel and do as you both do. So thank you. I do say a lot about other branches of service but I do hope you take it all in fun. From the bottom of my heart thank you both and your children for there service. Your daughter is a military spouse and that is like serving. Stacy I'm sure it didn't take as long to get the rust from under your nail as Phil . 27 years of build up is a lot . LOL. I have so much fun watching you guys . I've kept you guys long enough. Good job in your answers to those who asked the questions. We have full timed now for just over 7 years and love it. I may have to disagree with you Phil on your favorite pick for an RV. If I had the budget, an XL Prevost or IH45 Foretravel would be my option. Having owned 2 Foretravels in the past, that would be a hard decision to make with all the help available on our forum. I wish you guys would have started sooner for sure. Our kids laugh and tell people that they grew up in campgrounds 😊 Now you’re making up for lost time so that’s awesome! Please encourage your audience just to get out there whenever they can and with whatever RV they can. We started in tents, then a pop-up, then a 32’ bumper pull, 40’ diesel pusher and now we are enjoying a 38’ Georgetown without children 😊 Stacy, your greatest memory of the pontoon boat brought back so many memories for us! We would rent them 3-5 times a year in Branson on Table Rock Lake and pull the kids on tubes and even rented ski boats and let them try to get up on skies. Nothing like being out on the water for a relaxing day!

We leave them behind too. We have a web cam on the thermostat. Your relationship reminds me of Larry and me 🤣. Roku has a headphone plug. The best. The RV community is amazing. Florida is our home port and where our storage is. Going full time was scary. We went full time the day the virus was named- so... Yes. Crucial that insurance is for full time. Exactly. 35’. We do want to downsize a bit someday. It helps if you are handy. We are still working on balance of filming and enjoying. KZbin channel? Don’t expect to make money for a long time. You were talking about how you always had great neighbors in campgrounds. Your RV is well insulated. We just returned from a camping vacation in a park that had a lot of tent campers. It was party time even during quiet hours! I think that as people drink, their hearing dulls and the music needs to be louder and their talking gets much more vocal. And we were a 100 yards from any tent campers. This was in New Braunfels where river tubing is a priority for camping as you two [as Texans] are aware. We will be going back there, just aware of what to expect this time. May your good neighbor luck continue!

Phil, you went from an SCPO to an Ensign? And if I translated that right you were a Master at Arms? I guess the Navy timeline for promotions must be different from the Army's. I know folks that could not make E8 in 20 years, let alone making E8 the back to O4. Wow.
@todayissomeday4 жыл бұрын
I came in in as an E-1, made E-8 in 13 years! I changed jobs at the 7 year mark to the MA rate. After 9-11 happened, our rate grew from 1800 to over 11,000 and I was at the right spots in my career to advance fast! Getting selected for a commission at the 14 year mark was also great as I was going to do more than 20 anyway. A lot of busting my hump early.....sprinkled with a little luck worked out for me. No complaints whats so ever!

I have a 24feet bridge to cross with a 12 ton limit. My tought was that being 40 feet and the bridge 24 feet, the full weight of the rv would never be on the bridge. So I have been crossing that bridge for 4 years now and never had a problem.

@@todayissomeday Hi again, Thank you for your comments.I am a french Canadian from Québec and have been following you guys for a little while. I have a house in Fort Pierce Fl my driveway can accomodate a class A anytime. I use to be a member of Boondocker welcome but had to cancel my membership because that there were too many freeloaders arriving all the time with no so well maintained riggs. But if you are ever in my area and want to boondock for a couple of days. Ring my bell and my wife and I will receive you guys like a french Quebecer nows how.

Notice that you don't have your tires covered. After spending $4xxx.xx on tires I want to get the most out of mine.

Actually we do keep them covered except when Phil polishes them as in our thumbnail. See Mange Shade tire covers. We also want to protect our investment.

Thanks for a great video answering our questions! Interested in the comments about the size of Ruby and where you camp, because that is the question I am wrestling with: How large of an RV gets you into Local, State and National Parks and how small of an RV is livable. Thanks again!

We have had no problems getting in any place so far. We are 35 feet. We haven't visited any National Parks yet....we will find it harder to find a reservation than a spot that we are too big in.

May I add two thoughts regarding people stopping full time ...... ADD........ having done some long trips (5-9 week ones) before hand & a good relationship are paramount too.

Just watched your Steps to Full Time RV video. Hope it’s ok to ask a question here...the video was very helpful and we are pretty much on track with the steps you listed, but,; we are going to keep Tennessee as our domicile but after we sell our home how we will we an address for our license, rv, car etc? That’s the part I can’t find answers to. THANK YOU! So happy I found your channel!

If you dont have a family member whose address you will use then you have to choose a domicile company. We use Escapees out of Texas. I dont know of a company that uses Tennessee. You will have to see if there is one available. You will need a physical address not a PO Box

Another great video, and good information. We did our research and found that Entegra had very good customer service and one of the best discounts so we bought an Entegra Aspire 44B and love it.

Great video - Thanks, and - thanks for the shout out to the other channels. I checked out "Does Size Matter" and I love them. I'm starting from the first and watching all their videos. It really helps to have recommendations from channels you like. I found you guys from a "Changing Lanes" recommendation.

I couldn’t understand the type of batteries you have and compared to AGM. Are they lithium? I’m sorry, couldn’t get the name of them. Getting ready to rv so need all the advice I can get! Ty!

Question: Can Boondockers Welcome and Harvest Hosts be put on RV Trip Wizard as preferences? If so, how? Thanks for your help? (Thanks! We are new to current RVing; and using your recommendations.)
@todayissomeday4 жыл бұрын
No, because they are membership based. You have to have a membership to each to see their locations.

You haven't done Mt Washington unless you've rode up on a full size touring motorcycle with 2 people on it. Fun for sure.
