We are lucky and get to spend time in Quebec for car events and about 30% of the journalists are from Quebec, so we have good exposure to the culture. The rest of Canada should visit more often, Quebec is a huge part of what makes our country unique.

Not that the world can agree on anything, but why not pick one language for everyone to learn so all people in the world can speak it. You can still have the existing ones but just pick English, Chinese, Arabic, Cleon or just invent a new one. After thousands of years mankind is still so backward.@@Beyondesp

@@dcb113 Remember "esperanto"? How did that work out? I'll bet you had to Google it since the vast majority of the world's 8.5 billion people don't even know what it is. That's why you can't just go out and invent a new language. Besides, this topic has nothing to do with picking a language. It has to do with how some words in a particular language is spoken.

We have the Acura MDX and it is good for getting my frail, short, elderly mother in and out! I can adjust the suspension, it's a little lower than the other 3-rows to begin with, and I can put the seat way down low. It is soooo much better than getting her into our Lexus RX350. That said, it's still easier to get her into a sedan... She loves riding in her retirement community's Lincoln sedans. My cousin's Yukon is a nightmare for her, BTW.

Question for Andrea and zack Our Seattle news yesterday said our kias and internet connected vehicles are collecting our driving data and reports it to a 3rd party called lexinexi. They then sell it to insurance agency's and it is one of the reasons our insurance rates are so high. Is this true and if so is this happening in Canada as well? If it were true would be great to inform the listeners in one of your shows if possible. Thanks and keep up the great work 😊

Who gets worked up on the pronunciation variant USA vs Canada 🤣? Really? I like how Zack says he tells it twice so it won't offend anyone 🤣. Like a true Canadian ❤🇨🇦 .Gotta add "excuse me" at the end though.Everyone wants a hybrid Toyota but they are still rather rare to find and their waiting list is ridiculous. Around me dealers are selling used hybrids(low mileage) 5k+ over the actual brand new vehicle price, which I find very shady. But it is what it is these days. Like the gentleman who asked it would best to crunch some numbers before trying to hunt down these rare Toyotas. Is it really worth it? Depending on your lifestyle, heavy commuting etc it might be worth it but if you use it just to get groceries and once in a while for a long trip, might not be that interesting from a financial perspective. The savings on gas would be coming maybe in some years and might not be proportional with the initial price (assuming you ca get one at MSRP).Sure it would prolly have a good resale value but arguably depending for how long you would keep the car the actual hybrid battery may be due for servicing/replacement and I bet it is not as cheap to replace.Talking 10yrs+ .Toyotas are not bullet proof they do have some issues.Less than other brands for sure but this myth perpetuating "Toyota Toyota are the best" kinda annoys me .I for one never felt for the hype and judged the companies on hard cold facts. They are more reliable than the average for sure but they look kinda bland their interiors are just okish and in order to get a nicer one you need to sell one of your kidneys.

Having lived in the US, this is actually not that surprising to me. They don't travel outside the US as much and it's true about the US being a melting pot vs Canada being a mosaic. Next Corolla - thank goodness the sedan is coming still - in 2021 a Toyota sales person said the SUV one was the replacement but they just have not made it official - he said "why would you want a sedan - Toyota specializes in SUVs" Anyway months ago a Hyundai designer or something said the next generation Elantra was pretty much established and baring updates - it would be a hybrid only most likely - the one after that was not along at all BUT he said "probably something electric" and it might not be an Elantra per say at that point.

It is becoming so obvious that cheap hybrids are a good way to immediately lower our dependency on gas. So much better then just trying to jump straight to electric and so much more achievable and sellable. To date Hybrids and PHEVs are all top of the line, expensive models. And electrics the same. One would think that the government would clue in to this. Plus, hybrids are a great way to boost performance in urban settings without paying for expensive fuel and engine technology. The manufacturers need to start making hybrids for the common folk. They can only afford to buy ICE.

The 2.5T in the Mazda3 does not really give a sporty feel, it is not a successor to the Mazdaspeed 3. The non-turbo is plenty enough. I friend of mine has a gas-only 2019 RAV4. He, another friend and I all agree, the drivetrain is nosiy/drony, despite the 8-speed automatic. Agree with Andrea + Zach and go for the RAV4 Hybrid. A colleague and a friend who lives in California have a RAV4 Hybrid, and they love it. As for the "Zed" and "Zee" maybe because of the US influence, and what how reviewers say them... I'm in B.C.
