Question for Andrea and zack Our Seattle news yesterday said our kias and internet connected vehicles are collecting our driving data and reports it to a 3rd party called lexinexi. Who gets worked up on the pronunciation variant USA vs Canada 🤣? Really? I like how Zack says he tells it twice so it won't offend anyone 🤣. Like a true Canadian ❤🇨🇦 .Gotta add "excuse me" at the end though.Everyone wants a hybrid Toyota but they are still rather rare to find and their waiting list is ridiculous. Around me dealers are selling used hybrids(low mileage) 5k+ over the actual brand new vehicle price, which I find very shady. But it is what it is these days. Like the gentleman who asked it would best to crunch some numbers before trying to hunt down these rare Toyotas. Is it really worth it? Depending on your lifestyle, heavy commuting etc it might be worth it but if you use it just to get groceries and once in a while for a long trip, might not be that interesting from a financial perspective. The savings on gas would be coming maybe in some years and might not be proportional with the initial price (assuming you ca get one at MSRP).Sure it would prolly have a good resale value but arguably depending for how long you would keep the car the actual hybrid battery may be due for servicing/replacement and I bet it is not as cheap to replace.Talking 10yrs+ .Toyotas are not bullet proof they do have some issues.Less than other brands for sure but this myth perpetuating "Toyota Toyota are the best" kinda annoys me .I for one never felt for the hype and judged the companies on hard cold facts. They are more reliable than the average for sure but they look kinda bland their interiors are just okish and in order to get a nicer one you need to sell one of your kidneys.

It is becoming so obvious that cheap hybrids are a good way to immediately lower our dependency on gas. So much better then just trying to jump straight to electric and so much more achievable and sellable. To date Hybrids and PHEVs are all top of the line, expensive models. And electrics the same. One would think that the government would clue in to this. Plus, hybrids are a great way to boost performance in urban settings without paying for expensive fuel and engine technology. The manufacturers need to start making hybrids for the common folk. They can only afford to buy ICE.
