Just found your channel and I might stay up all night watching your videos. Instead of having a mid-life crisis, I'm switching careers hopefully for a little more family free time. I just passed my state exam and will be going on interviews in a week or two. Thank you very much for all the free information so far.

Got my license and I have a mentor I’ve been following. She has been successful for 7 years and I’ve shadowed her a few times. I met the BIC and I really like the office. I’ve even been to a few meetings and even a luncheon. BIC is awesome, in the meeting he introduced me to the rest of the agents. Everyone is really nice and everyone has so much energy and everyone is giving advice. Just really helpful. I’m definitely signing with them. I also like because they are laid back and just also professional. I also liked it because everyone ranged from 20s to 70s. The diversity is nice.

That's awesome! I wish you the best.

Here's a tip: 1) Read the online reviews about the broker and brokerage. 2) Ignore 5 and 10 year plans especially in the housing market. 3) Observe the people in the office. Do they look happy? What are they wearing? Being observant with your eyes open and your mouth closed will tell you all you need to know.
@ExploreLifesJourneyWithMe3 жыл бұрын
Why would what they are wearing help? Just wondering.
@glb3603 жыл бұрын
@@ExploreLifesJourneyWithMe Are they wearing business suits or casual attire? You may be expected to go out and buy an expensive wardrobe.

True. I have started adding dress clothes to my wardrobe a tiny bit at a time, lol. Most of my clothes are dress down urban style.

Wow, it's amazing what other questions one doesn't think about asking when interviewing a brokerage. Sometimes we see a well-known brand and think it's the right fit but wounds not serving the best interest for either party. Some brokerages are archaic in their marketing and lead generation gathering at times may still be relevant but as a newly licensed agent you are left to defend on your own. Great stuff Bro. Keep it up.

Hey chastin! Just wanted for first appreciate your page. The consistency and quality of your content is rare and admired in this industry. Quick question: So I am posed with two options basically: go solo and do my first three transactions with a split under a name like Keller Williams, etc. Or I could join a team that belongs to one of those brokerages and the split is more divided, but I get to work with people who can help. So my question is, if I choose the brokerage route, it seems like the leading broker still has to train me and take a split. So what's the difference between the leading broker of a Keller Williams training you as a solo agent or a team leader of a group training you? Sorry for the wording and hope this gets to you well.

If you’ve heard of these which brokerage would you say is the best out of the list? All of these are in my local town, I have a Century 21, Howard Hannah, Key Realty, and Coldwell Banker. Each brokerage is probably different but I’m just curious to as which one of these big companies are the best to work for if you have any options, Thanks

Hi Chastin ! I love all the information you provide. Thanks for that. I'm working through my SAE right now however I'm in-active until the fall. Up until now, one of my SAE courses is Brokerage, I had the impression that mostly I would be interviewing brokerages more so than the other way around. In the Brokerage course, it mentions new and experienced agents having a resume. I've always been very good at interviewing and writing my resumes and getting job offers in my previous career but I'm feeling a little intimidated about coming in fresh as an agent. I will pull teamwork, deadlines and that sort of thing into my brand new agent resume and I know I'll have to talk those skills up in the interview but I'm wondering if you've done a video about this topic, for new agents. I'm needing a confidence boost. I would love to hear anyone's experiences interviewing brokerages for the first time.

No I have not done a video on resumes or anything, I do have information on interview questions to ask at brokerages though.

Hello Chastin, I hope you're doing well ! Thank you for this video! I just have a question, it would be great if you can answer me. So the question is : Are foreigners able to obtain their real estate broker license, or they have to be permanent residents ?
@ChastinJMiles4 жыл бұрын
Thats a good question. I think it may come down to the state rules that you're looking to practice in. I would check the Real Estate Commission website for your state and search that topic.
