I've seen Nigella make a range of recipes, from the exquisitely delicious to the embarrassing. But truth be told, I don't really care, and have never actually watched her with any intention of recreating them. Those who criticize her skills are missing the point. I watch for her personality, her passion for food, and the delight of seeing such a stunning woman make a mess in the kitchen and unapologetically enjoy herself so thoroughly. She has refined tastes, but lacks the pretentiousness of most "foodies." She's not a trained chef, has little technical skill, and is the much needed antidote to the stuffy elitism in the food world.
