I like this easy project. I would make one to match my lunch bag to hold a stainless steel straw and my utensils. I might even make it wide enough that I could wrap a napkin around the whole thing and put everything into the bag. This is a great idea.

Thank you for this easy idea. I have some Simplicity vintage dressmaking FQs and just made 5 pouches and 2 half size ones so easy, each time it was magical so together with a large bag to hold dress pattern I now have a place for scissors, pins, tape measure, marking tools ruler all for dressmaking projects. Inspiring and your voice is calm and clear.

Laura, a shoe bag. Perfect for those winter days when you need shoes but not until you have tramped through the snow in your boots. I have one that I made years ago and use it frequently but maybe it is time to make a new one. Thank you for a very clear tutorial

Definitely! When my daughter danced, I used to make bags like this for her shoes because the black ones would mark up the others. I wish I had known this simple method back then!

That is a very cool pencil bag ! But I was wondering if you had any ideas about makeing coasters.. I have made Fabric ones before but really don't trust them on a table when the weather is melting everything.. Is there something out there to absorb the liquid that drips off the glasses??
