I love how you say "lengthen" not necessarily height when we're on our stomach . I love this workout!!!! I like short and effective too!
@esstown6 жыл бұрын
It is even more effective with the legs close together (heels touching, even) and turned out. You may not get the legs more than a couple inches off the ground but it really targets the right area that way.

Thank you so so so much Katie!! I have been using your workouts for like just a week every day during my break, today I went back to my class my teacher said" I am very very much impressed. " I believe your workouts are guiding me to another level or even another world. Thank you so much again!! I am looking forward to ur new ones. Also I am thinking if you can give us some video about correcting wrong muscles. Today I just got to know that I had been mistakenly using my outer thigh instead of inner thigh since I started ballet two years ago. No one corrected me until today. And I was a very hard worker so my outer muscle is super super tight now( Also I didnt know there was thing called "releasing muscles" at all when I studied at home in China. Now I am in Australia so I finally got to know that.) So anyway, can you please help us, giving us some workout using inner thigh specifically. Thank you in advance!!

Can you do an extension workout? I really want to get my left extension up as high as my right since it's my weaker side.

Hello! I love your videos, you're so clear and expressive to explain all. A few months ago I bought a flexi stretcher and I really can't find the way to use it properly. Do you have one? Can make a video tutorial about it? I have a problem with my hands and arms then I can't pull my legs as up as I need and need additional help, and think that this could be the way to get a better job in my routine, but I just can't do it well, specially in first and second position. I know that I have a not-so-good english, hope you can understand me. Regards!

How do you find energy to keep going and push harder in a state of total exhaustion during a performance? (In my case a variation with lots of jumps)

Ik I'm not Kathryn but I go running once a week not too intense but as long as I can and it boosts my stamina so I can dance for longer x
@Elena-rg5zc6 жыл бұрын
I know your comment is old but maybe it helps someone. To build stamina for a variation you could split your variation in pieces. Do every piece a couple of time, maybe like 3-5. Do a small break and then continue with the next piece and do this 3-5 times. Then a little break again and so on. After you've done that, dance the whole variation. It helped me a lot
@natalietrainor80596 жыл бұрын
to build stamina I always practice my variation twice full out with no pauses, at first I was quite exhausted, however, once I was able to complete my variation twice, with no pauses, I found it so much easier only doing it once in my production and was, therefore, able to focus really on my technique and artistry rather than worrying about running out of stamina. I hope this helps

I have been doing this everyday for about a week and I can already see it helping me. Do you think after 3 weeks my arabesque will be significantly higher/stronger?

I did it every other day for somewhere around 2? months and my arabesque went from barely off of the ground to at least 80 degrees. You'll get there!

thank you so much! Do you know some exercise or streching for opening leg but more from knee to foot, because I am open in hips but from knee down I am closed..
@kathryn_morgan8 жыл бұрын
+Sara Radakovic Knee to foot is hard to work out. The more you can shape your feet the better, so try doing some ankle exercises actually. That can help improve your lines.
