@@HyonjanS Hi! Sorry I didn't see this till now. It's in the settings of NTSC/PAL, you're probably only getting 25, or 50 fps based on the region of the camera.

I do product reviews so when I do my intros I tend to shoot with S-Log3 but when I switch over to a top down video for product reviews I shoot "intelligent" and use the "product focus" mode. So I would love to have a button to press that brings me in to my "intro" mode with all my settings ready and then switch over to my "product" mode.

Thank you for this video walk thru. As a new camera owner/user, this was helpful. For some of the functions you explained the why, yet not for others. I'd love to see a Sony ZV-1f camera tutorial for pre-beginners, lol. I breakdown of what all the buttons do, how to know when to adjust settings, troubleshooting, etc. For example, the subject recognition setting, was not allowing me to toggle it on. It took forever to find the function that would enable me to do what should have been an easy action. In short, give me all the knowledge on this camera, to get the most out of it. Is it the color like color of your face or just how “bright” the overall image is? If you set the exposure mode to automatic it should balance itself out instead of setting it to manual.

Can’t change a clip to slow motion if its already recorded. But you could try your best to slow it down in a video editing software.

Auto settings should be fine, but typically I shoot in $4k at 24 frames per second with these settings: 1/50 Aperture: F/2.0 ISO: 800 or Auto

Was that after a full charge? I would recommend getting an extra battery if you don’t already have one. But generally for battery tips - turn on airplane mode, keep the screen brightness to manual (i keep mine on 0).

Hey! Look for the NTSC/PAL selector and change it to NTSC and you’ll be able to see the change.

I have the Sony ZV-1F camera and purchased the Sony HVL-F20M external flash which is suppose to be compatible. There is no setting in the menu section to enable external flash. Can you please help trouble shoot?

I no longer have this camera to be able to check for sure but when I go to their website, it looks like this is not one of the compatible flashes. you could use it as a webcam to your computer for live streaming but with a direct usb cable, not bluetooth or wifi. bluetooth and wifi is for file transfer and remote control.

This could be due to the kind of video file you may be recording. It could be found in the shooting menu, under file format.

Hi Mike the camera comes with a leveler on the screen when you first get it to ensure that the video is balanced the recording. Mine is now gone and I don't know what I did. I also noticed that you don't have yours on. How do I get it back?

As i did some research, if a camera/vlog cam is bought from Japan, Sony locked it's language setting because it's only for domestic users not international users. Therefore the only thing i can do is to translate it, take a screenshot, print it, and laminate it or hack it's framework which is kinda hard thing to do

Most likely it was recorded in S&Q mode. It won’t have sound but you can bring it back to regular speed if you throw it into a video editing software and change the speed of the clip to 2x. Or make it faster until it looks like real time.

Hi there, I have a 3.5mm Sony TS-125 lapel mic that works fine, but with the new digital audio recorder I have, it's distorted when recording loud concerts yet with my old Minidisc this wasn't an issue. Maybe something was pressed and dials were spun. Check the exposure mode to make sure it’s auto mode. If it is check the metering mode or “MM” on screen to make sure it says 0.0. It may say and be set to +2.0 which what makes your image super bright.

Perhaps something is dampening the speaker itself or perhaps the recording volume was low.

@@MikeBSalazar Actually, I talked to a tech at Sony who is associated with this model and he said that a LOT of them had a "malfunction" with the speaker volume which would not be resolved with a firmware upgrade and that I should return it. Sure enough, it didn't take too much of an in-depth search online to find out that this is a very common issue with this camera. So I returned it and sure enough the replacement works just fine. Something to be aware of though. Thank you for your response. And thank you for your videos. I am in Nepal and Pakistan much of the year and I will be putting this through its paces beginning on Feb 24th.

@@jaynothere757 I wouldn't think you'd have an issue in camera with it being backwards but if you edit with Final Cut Pro, you should be able to apply the effect "Flipped" and be able to reverse it horizontally.
