Are you storing water or petrol in it? In the UK it's absolutely illegal to store petrol in a metal container in a vehicle. Why? Because in the event of a fire it turns into a BLEV. A gallon of petrol has BLEVed has the equivalent explosive force of 75lb of dynamite.
