The Eart all got mahagony bodies! Wasn't meant for youtube at first. Its one of my little videos i make for my facebook group "Eart guitars support group".. But its too long for facebook. So it ended up here. Maybe it helps someone. Totally unedited. I need to add: the pickguards fit but the neck-end with the trussrodwheel will need more space, so theres a cut-out to make.

Hi, i have another question about NK-C3 model please. On the position #2 of the 5 way switch (just after first position = bridge humbucker) is the bridge humbucker pickup set to full or splitted in single coil with the middle position pickup ? you confirm there is no push/pull button on tone or volume button to split the bridge humbucker manually ?

Excellent video very informative, a question how the pickups in the SSS (YMX -SG3) compares with those in the NK-C3 model

Really glad to see you are making videos regularly now. These eart guitars seem pretty cool. One thing that seems really strange to me is their necks that they claim are roasted maple are much lighter than any other roasted maple I've seen and different shades. I think it maybe could just be stained not roasted.
@catsmeow9712 жыл бұрын
I was wondering about that too

I saw on another review that once he removed the nut it didn't have that 'yellow' color under it.. it was plain wood. How can that be if its roasted? Makes me wonder.
@Clapstain2 жыл бұрын
@@catsmeow971 yeah that means it's just stained. Kinda weird because they seem like decent guitars roasted neck or not. But I think people would be better off just spending a little bit more on a good used mexican charvel or fender.
@CoryMura2 жыл бұрын
Yellow? If you mean the yellow from the NK-C3 or NK-C1 that yellow on those necks is just tinted laquer. Thats standard stuff. You can roast necks for 20 hours(and more) or 2 hours. Either way they will be called "roasted" but it will be barely visually noticeable on the 2 hour one. Its a quick and good way to get the humidity on a level you want. Doesn't mean they need to look super dark.
@Clapstain2 жыл бұрын
@@CoryMura what I'm saying is, why are ibanez or charvel or schecter or any other roasted necks the same shade on the same models. These are different shades on the same models.(I'm going by their amazon listings)

At present I have approximately 13-15 guitars, not sure of the exact count... haha. I plan to get a fender strat and tele, and the same with the Eart, so thank you Cory for the comparison. I hope you compare playability in an upcoming video. Cheers!

on NCK-3 the back of the neck is satin finish or glossy (lacquer) finish ? does it feel smooth and not sticky ?
@CoryMura2 жыл бұрын
It's satin and smooth , not sticky at all.

@@CoryMura hi Cory, You have a nice collection of EART guitars. I've read some bad reviews on fret leveling on these guitars. How are yours ? You say that you have very low actions which supposes that the frets are perfect leveled ? SS frets is a very cool feature but if the leveling is average it's hard to fix it by sanding. the NCK-3, especially as it is on sale in EU warhouse, makes me want one but I hesitate a little to order it because of the opinions on the frets leveling. Thank you !
@CoryMura2 жыл бұрын
I got 11 Earts right now. Had overall 3 high frets that just needed a little push back into the fretboard. I leveled none guitar and got around 1.5mm string action on all of them. Those are the highest quality budget guitars I know
@arnaudjayet2252 жыл бұрын
@@CoryMura thank you Cory for your reply. Well i may pull the trigger on one :) Last question : in the specs EART said "Fingerboard Radius: 7.25’-9.5’ compound radius" is it true ? it's 7,25" radius on top of the neck (first frets) and then 9,5" on the bottom (last frets) ? What is the weight of NCK-3 if you know it ?

Thanks for making the video 👍 I'm curious, have you had a chance to play the ex h6 model ? It's a superstrat HH style from Eart. I'm debating that guitar or the nk c3 for my next purchase
@CoryMura2 жыл бұрын
I got the ex h6. Check my newest video. I got the multicolor one. Good guitar, very nice neck. Very different from the NK-C3. What do you wanna know?

@@CoryMura @Cory Mura sweet, I just saw it and joined the FB group 👍 just curious your thoughts on each, which guitar you prefer and why
@CoryMura2 жыл бұрын
The NK-C3 is a modern HSS-strat. Think of Suhr or some high end Charvels. The pickups are surprisingly good. Surprisingly because pickups are the weakest point on Earts. They don't got that sparkle, like vintage pickups or like my Fenders do. Its an articulate modern singlecoil sound. There is no dramatic volume drop between the singlecoils and the humbucker. Very balanced set. The woodwork is of great quality, very clean overall. No shielding on any Earts, that's noticeable with those singlecoils sadly. I would recommend a good noise gate or to shield it yourself. Fretwork is what stands out on all Earts, no exception here. Mirror like stainless steel frets with rounded fret ends. Its really something else. The bridge is a 2-point trem with a push in trem-arm. It got a big steel block and good sustain and attack. The body wood is btw mahagony,which is unusual for strats but i see no downside here. Weight is 3.4kg like almost all Earts The EX H6 i got is in multicolor. I was disappointed with the finish, doesn't look so good in person. I would prefer something else. The neck is what stands out here. Its a walnut neck with maple stripes and is the nicest neck of all models imo. The padouk body got a loud punch everytime you hit a string. It got 2 waxed humbuckers, so no issues with noise here (no shielding). The pickups don't really fit the guitar. I expected high output pickups for this metal looking guitar but its not. Medium output more for blues or rock. I can get it to sound modern but it needs to be pushed on the amp. Wood and fretwork is again flawless. I was able to get on all Eart guitars a 1mm string action on the high e and a 1.5mm action on the low E side. Both guitars came with no damages or high fret or anything. Always get rid of the stock strings, clean and oil the fretboard and put new strings on. The stock strings were on all guitar dirty like hell and made the guitar sound bad. Hope it helps
