"what you want is shadow, midtone and highlights and not the lift gamma and gain wheels". Why? anything wrong about the lift gamma gain wheels?
@JorisHermans
@JorisHermans 3 жыл бұрын
Similar but different, they work in different tonal ranges. Lift gamma and Gain works in a broader range so you’ll see it affecting more of the image. Shadow Mid and Highlights target more specific areas of the image.

I'm having a hard time following as a beginning user of DaVinci, mainly because I can't seem to find some of the elements in your layout compared to how my resolve is laid out. Like Hue vs. Hue, and other details. Are you using the free version or paid? Is your layout customized? How do I find those elements?

Just found this video and it's super helpful! I'm busy on a fan project editing Amazon's The Wheel of Time fantasy series and have a question/request for help please. The show is AWFULLY lit (flat lighting, no contrast, much too much saturation) and I wanted to try my hand at regrading it to look more like Game of Thrones / The Witcher. Would your method work well for this? I'm just doodling around so would like something that works on average that I can apply to 90% of the scenes. If you don't have access to the show, you can check out the trailers on KZbin to see what I mean. Many thanks for your help!

Masterful teaching! Can you make a tutorial for Low-End or Low-Spec PC's? I think most people run Intel HD-Graphics on their Windows laptop which is NOT sufficient for Resolve. I use an HP x360 with Intel i7 CPU (2.5ghx), 4GB RAM DDR4, and Intel HD Graphics. I think others have similar PC specs...
