Intonation, set the neck straght, polish the frets, put Ernie Ball 010's , and it rocks!

Got the purple one. Replace nut, locking tuners, Plek job by sweetwater, and set of gfs vintage liverpool pickups. Plays like butter. Have 9.5 strings. No tuning issues or buzz. One of my best playing and sounding guitars

Good video. Anyone know what gauge strings come on this guitar? Mine feel pretty loose and I have a hard time with note accuracy because the notes change so much with pretty minimal fretting pressure. I'm going to move up a gauge but not sure if it has 9s or 10s now.
@pawnshopguitarguy2 жыл бұрын
I think they come with 9-42 but I'm not totally sure about that, my buddy uses 10s on the one in the video

I have bought 2 for my boys, they came with 9s but play and feel much better with 11-52. If I was to use it myself I would use 12s but that was a bit hard on smaller hands, the 11s are fine

Very informative video, thanks!. Yesterday I was checking this same model at a store. I was about to buy it when I noticed that when I moved, the guitar made an interference /noise...the vendor tried three different cables and the problem continued. I realized that the jack was ; like a little loose; I mean; It was possible to move a bit the cable that was already inserted; so I thought there was a jack problem and didnt buy it. In your experience, is it worth to buy the guitar and repair the jack later?
@pawnshopguitarguy2 жыл бұрын
A jack repair is quite simple if you are proficient with a soldering iron, use it as a bargaining chip to get a lower price. Or at least that's what I would do...

@pawnshopguitarguy2 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure which screws you are referring to, but I would be glad to help. If the screw heads are stripped there are tools to remove them or if the screws have been over tightened you would need a more in depth repair

They should be 4 mm and 1.5 mm respectively, Harbor Freight has a set on a keychain like ring for $2.99 that includes those sizes and more...

Where can I get the measuring gages and what ate they called
@pawnshopguitarguy2 жыл бұрын
It's a string height gauge and they are around $10 on Amazon or a little more from a guitar store. Also you can use automotive "feeler" gauges to measure the neck relief, the flat types sell for less that $10 at auto parts stores.
