Ever Thought it would be nice to take the car awning of your vehicle within second and without a tool?

It would be good if they did a bracket for the 270 degree awnings as it'd be good to not run around with it attached during the working week

They do I have Quick Fit on both sides one for Foxwing with 3 brackets and a 2 bracket for regular awning

Hey Adam have you tried to see if you can make your awning free standing with tent poles like the iron man one by any chance?

Have you seen a video of the Ironman 'quick release' in action from start to finish?? ie. *Setup awning *Unhook from vehicle *Drive away completely, not straight out/ back.. *Return/ line vehicle up/ reverse *Re-attach to vehicle.. If you have, please attach a link? Cheers, r

I have the same but reversed the brackets eg the stainless large brackets are flat on the vehicle and plastic covered (eg UV sensitive and cheaper parts are on my accessories) - this way I can use the same expensive brackets for other accessories and increase system longevity. Eg one large bracket to many cheap C shaped brackets.

that is an excellent idea, though it would require a custom bracket for the roof rack and I'm not sure I want the big bracket shown but nevertheless a good option.

@@AlloffroadAuCustom brackets not needed. Use standard rhino M8 channel nuts to fit the large bracket flat on the Pioneer rack. The smaller plastic covered C shaped item is bolted to the L shaped brackets which are permanently attached to the awning. When awning is removed there is no unsightly bits sticking out.

a I see what you where doing, hm I wonder if that is structurally the same though in regards to how it takes the load?

@@AlloffroadAu The difference is probably minor. 4 bolts into 2 x 2 vs 2 bolts into 2 x 2. Weak point in both cases is 2 bolts per connector. So no reduction in total strenght as weak points are the same.

Hi, nice video. Just wondering with your other 270 awning. Is it ok mounted that high? Wouldn’t it being mounted that high decrease your shade? Or do you need to have it that high for when it wraps around over the rear doors it doesn’t hit when the top door is open?

Nice solution but can be replicated cheaply with nice galvanized hinges..

Perfect solution, we run a side and rear awning on our 105 series with a roof top tent. It’s a tight fit, I always struggle to do the zip up on the tent cover because it’s such a tight fit, this is the solution I’ve been toying with. How long have you had them on now? Cheers landcrab_adventures

The whole point is to only put it on when you go away, and for the most part you'll be with your vehicle. Most theft occurs when the vehicle is in your driveway.
