I just hope you realise that for a lot of us, that would be like if you had messaged to ask for a lesson. That's gotta feel amazing

This just in: at todays Dream Theater session, Jordan was showing off with this new lick he learned and Petrucci, all in awe, for the first time ever, asked if Rudess can teach him a guitar lick :)

Most youtubers would have a title like "I just did my warmup routune then Jordan Rudess BEGGED ME for a lesson". I'm glad David has more class than that.

He is definitely not a youtuber 😁There is a big difference between a youtuber and a real musician. 95% of youtubers are a joke haha

Nothing would make the whole world happier than you putting this out as a GP file . Perhaps for some $$

1:50 sounds almost identical to the one handed tapped arpeggio in mystical potato head groove from Joe Satriani

I also want you to explain what scales are you using when you bringing in those Balkan sounding passages. ❤

These „balkan sounding passages“ are so mesmerizing. Can you give me the name or where to look for those kinds of scales? I need to learn them as well 😍😁
@chrisdimis91 Жыл бұрын
@@buricaliskan I actually studied about this for the last couple of weeks. In my understanding these scales revolve around the Phrygian scale. Phrygian dominant. Hungarian minor is another one. As for time signatures. 5/8, 7/8, 9/8, 11/8 and 13/8. It's not only the scales. The technique is another important factor. You'll not be able to replicate the same sounds if you don't understand how the players play the notes. I'm Greek and the sounds of the Balkans are similar to my traditional music. You can study Acordeon players, Saz players, trumpet players, Bouzouki. I really hope I helped. Peace and blessings.

@@chrisdimis91 thank you for the reply 👌 Yes I must agree the articulation is at least as important as the notes themselves. But thanks for the tips here. You‘re the man 😁👍 Cheers

how do you get the mute sound? also youre legit the only guitar god of mine i havent seen live yet

Using volume knob on a guitar will retain the attack and have less sustain. Very important to listen to what your guitar is doing :) Soon 🫣
