QUICK Method for Mini Twists on Natural Hair + Updated Length Check! 😍

Hey ladies! Today I did my own mini twists on my kinky-curly natural hair in under an hour! I'm so happy with the results and so far I've had them in for over a week with no immediate plans to take them down. This is a great protective style especially for the Spring and Summer months! Also, I included a quick length check update to show my growth progress since trimming my hair in June of last year. I feel like my hair is now LONGER than it was before I trimmed. 😲 Really been loving my hair these days.

@@thetongueofangels1882 I'm finding what takes the most time for me is parting. My hair is really dense, so getting clean parts is difficult, but it pays off because the way the twists lay makes the style look better. Still takes me three hours. 😞

One thing about doing twists with your own hair (no braiding hair) is that it's A LOT FASTER than wrestling with braiding hair for me personally.

Hunty chile.......yes!!!! I work for the school District so I'm off during the summer. Treating this quarantine as an extended summer so I've been doing my twisting routine since March. I wear mine for a week or so, wash deep condition and retwist. I wear flat twist along the crown/front. #twistarethebusiness

Such juicy twists!! I always braid the roots because my hair will sometimes unravel. I always free hand part the back but I definitely spend extra time parting the front just because I like different options for parting my hair. I live protective styling just because I am a lazy natural 💕

The shrinkage with this style is so beautiful because your hair looks full & I love how you put half up in a bun, I’m gonna try it like that next! When I tried twisting my hair for the first time I did it with a DIY flax seed gel & it really elongated my hair so it wasn’t really cute unless I let it dry & took the twist out to achieve a fuller look.

Nice twist very healthy. My hair grows really fast with them and I end up taking them down because it get frizzy from growth even though I tie them down every night. I may do them again though. Like you said the versatility is great!

Your hair looks exactly like mine. I have only ever twisted my hair because as you said, it's easy and it keeps the look neat and low maintenance. I've been doing twist and mini twists for like....19 years lol I should branch out but its so easy and my hair has grown A LOT. The braiding at the root was too much for me but I had success using the retwist method used for loc retwisting to keep the roots neat after I've had them in a few days. It works great. Try it if you want, it might work well for you. Great video and your hair is gorgeous!

Open hair pins...not closed bobby pins...will be your best friend with mini twists. You can still wear it down just pin it over to the side, etc.

Some people's hair is just like that..u can do all the night routine n everything else doesn't matter if your hair behaves a certain way. Not saying those measures won't help some but ultimately our hair will do what it does (genetically).
