I very seldom add a public comment but you have the sweetest attitude and calming voice and the fact that you always talk about not being hard on yourself for maybe not getting everything on your to do list done and that that is ok is just so helpful to hear. This video inspired me so much! I had been beating myself up about not getting everything done, then I would just shut down, watch HGTV and get NOTHING done! As a elementary teacher, I am too pooped at the end of the day to do anything, so I count on the weekends to get the majority of the chores done. Most weekends I end up binge watching TV and relaxing. Once my house started to look like a mini episode of hoarders, I knew I had to get motivated. You and Amy Darly are my motivation. Today I have gotten so much done. The key...take little breaks between my to-do list items to watch you for a quick re-up of motivation, then get back at it! LOL You are appreciated, keep it coming!

Well, for me it’s Hanukkah and I will start decorating right before hand because we live in a small apartment and I don’t have a lot of space. I put out a big silver tray with the Menorah and candles near the window, on the dining room table. I store the extra candles in festival mugs, and surround the tray with chocolate gold coins and all different sizes and makes of dreidels. I put up some song books and flowers around the tray. I try to make it both fancy and cozy! I wish I knew how to send you a picture of last year’s setup…It looked really nice 😊 I literally waited all week for today’s video and I was so excited to watch it! I also try to leave a perfectly clean home when going on a trip and I feel you big time, rushing and cleaning to the last minute. Thanks for the motivation and support ❤️

You actually made me feel so much better. I have an anxiety disorder and Bipolar 1. I’m on the lower end of my bipolar disorder lately so I’m REALLY struggling w energy and motivation. I watch cleaning videos to try to get motivated but sometimes it makes me feel a bit worse. You all seem to always be getting stuff done and I just can’t. I know it’s not always what it seems but it’s hard to not compare. I do love and enjoy these videos. Thank you for being here!

I know why you decide to clean and organize something like the medicine cabinet when a bigger event is looming, because I do the same thing. I think it is because the bigger even has q lot of moving parts that are hard to get your hand around, even if you have lists, a time sheet and everything you need. The medicine cabinet is short and quick and you have complete control. For me it's often the cabinet under the sink, or a sock drawer. AND the minute I finish it order and control feel restored and I automatically tackle the bug event! It's so easy to become overwhelmed and a small talk finished is a real boost. I have also found that on those days I feel no motivation, if I tackle something simple, like the kitchen junk drawer, I immediately move on.

My family is temporarily living overseas and Christmas sadly isn't celebrated here so it's hard to come by decorations. I don't really decorate because of that so I just play music starting late Novemberish. I'm not familiar with that service you said but I'd get it for some Dr. Pepper 😆💞 Makes me happy you and the fam had a fun and safe trip to Orlando. I think I'm pretty much the only person I know that hasn't gone there 😅 My life feels so hectic lately that I struggle too getting motivated. I think the biggest culprit in my house is putting folded clothes away. Ridiculous right? We'll be moving back to the states within the next 6 months, so my husband and I have literally dissected the house; throwing, giving, and donating things, just to declutter but ultimately make it so everything has a home inside our home😵. It does take time but I encourage you and Mark to get started because it's contagious! You'll get a space done then realize how convenient it is and you'll wanna do more. It's so satisfying see all the crap leave your house and you literally feel so much lighter. You guys can do it💪💯 Love you guys see you in the next vid💞

I love decorating for Christmas. But as every other season, decorating too soon can be a result of taking it down too soon as well. I’m hoping to decorate the week after thanksgiving just so I don’t get tired of it but still have enough time to enjoy it. Decorating is my passion. I love it and puts me in great spirits. Our tradition is to always decorate for Christmas on black friday!! I'm so not a shopper, and think all the black friday goers are a little crazy 😂😂 so me and my kiddos stay in our Christmas pj's, my mom comes over, and we decorate! Which is so fun now with my 2 older kids getting a little bigger. They love going through their ornaments and putting them any and everywhere on the tree!!! Hahaha and while me and mom tackle inside, the hubs works on lights and nativity scene outside!

I do a big spring AND fall cleaning and organizing. I feel that fall is especially important since we are going to be stuck inside more come winter months. We live in Maine and it gets cold. It makes me feel less anxious and so much easier to keep up on the house when you only have what you need and everything had a place. I start to decorate for Christmas the day after Thanksgiving. I don't have venmos but that's so sweet.

We renovated our whole home three years ago. We lived here during it, along with our youngest son and three dogs. As construction went from area to area, we boxed up everything and then purged before we put anything back. It was wonderful. We had Vietnam Vets do five huge pickups. I have not missed a thing we got rid of. And, we still find items to donate. It’s constant. Good luck.

Joanna, you bring me such motivation and entertainment I should be sending you a gift!! To answer your question-I am itching for the first time ever to decorate for Christmas NOW but I will wait til Thanksgiving weekend - we get real trees so I don’t put that up til December 1stish!! I host a craft day for the girls in my family on the first Saturday of December every year - we pick a theme every year and this year theme is “signs” so anything with words counts!! Anyone who comes for craft day has to put 10-20 ornaments on the tree!!! This includes 3 to 83 lol!!! I have a lifetime of ornaments (from my kids etc) !!! We also do a themed ornament swap every Christmas Eve - this year is “dated ornaments” made, bought whatever - so fun!!!! I am skipping the venmo I would rather someone who needs a quick pick me up get a sweet gift from you this go round!

I like to decorate the day after Thanksgiving. Last year I decorated hunting weekend because my husband was gone and we were not having Thanksgiving. Thanks Covid lol. This year it’s back to hosting the family for Thanksgiving so decorating the Friday and weekend afterwards :-)
