I listened to the audio version of your book 'Be Exceptional.' It is truly a treasure. The book is packed full of valuable information and beautiful personal stories. My favorite is your childhood story about the old farmer and the water in the best glassware on your good dinner tray. That story really resonated and touched my heart. Kindness is so simple and easy and can make a persons day. I love this book and would recommend it to any and everyone. In fact i'm going to buy a printed copy as well! Mahalo Joe for being 'exceptional!'

I am so very pleased that you liked the book. That was a good lesson my mother taught me about showing how much we should value those less fortunate. That old man lived to a ripe old age I am told. My favorite story was the one in Brazil who was blind and yet she did needle work. I was enthralled with her.

I loved your book Be Exceptional, it’s inspiring, eye opening, gives you hope and at the same time it makes you question your self what does really matter to you that you want to improve and be an exceptional individual? It doesn’t matter what background, education or status in life what does matter is your choice who you want to become and what you want to be known for. I highly recommend that book to anyone. Thank you, Joe. I appreciate all your hard work and your dedication to make a difference in our society. I want to be like you sir, making a difference in a small way.

That was a great tip. Upon reflection I realised it's what I did/am doing. As a crime writer I learnt a lot (still learning) about writing and people and discovered I very much enjoy teaching crime writing. So I devised a 12-hour crime writing introductory course and teach it via the CEC here in Wellington, NZ. I learn so much from my students as I'm teaching. It's a lot of fun but also this wonderful exchange of ideas and ways of doing things. There is something great about being able to spark creativity in people and help them achieve what they want to achieve. :) (I make sure my students all have links to your books and KZbin Chanel, Joe.)

Sure I will That’s a great idea. I will keep that in mind. I think it’s always good to revisit those good habits especially for young people. Mass suggest you read some of the books about Benjamin Franklin. I think you’ll find them very useful I know I did when I was your age.

Cool! Inspiring. I think many people can relate to this as they have dreams but fear of failing. I've been thinking how cool it would be to teach nonverbals one day to businesses or similar. But also don't know attainable that is in such a small country like Norway. But maybe you sparked some belief 😊

Go for it! Why not? Nobody owns the study of body language, not psychologist, not anthropologist. Study read learn, take some courses, and then share your knowledge, but share it every day and do it with joy and I wish you well.

Hey joe I wanted to ask which books should i read to learn more about human nature, psychology, behavioral patterns and body language?
@joenavarrobehaviorexpert
@joenavarrobehaviorexpert 2 ай бұрын
That’s a profound question. I can highly recommend Books such as Desmond Morris and his book the naked ape, I think you would enjoy people watching also by Desmond Morris, David Givens, book on love signals will teach you a lot about how the brain works, I always enjoyed Gavin Debecker‘s book, the gift of fear that should be a good one for you to read and then there’s any number of books on the human brain. I would recommend any of them by Joseph Leydeau
