I kept reading in mower forums a while back where people had issues with those cast pulleys breaking. I always get the weld-on hub ones or make my own from steel deck pulleys. My local Tractor Supply keeps a lot of pulleys and hubs in stock but they are pricey.

We either just wear out the v groove or blow out the key way on these style pulleys

Can always pound a stainless threaded sleeve in the set screw hole to put in because steel fasteners to aluminum is always a bad idea.

What’s going on, I can’t seem to find where, but in one of your past videos you talked about “seasoning a new belt” I think. Would you remind me what video that was or briefly explain how you do that? If that wasn’t you please pardon me then 😅

What I usually do with a new belt is throw it in second gear and ride the clutch while driving straight adjust foot pressure while riding and soon you will feel it start to release when you push the clutch in ( as it should) new belts just grab hard right off the bat Doesn’t take much to get it to set in right!

Do you guys have problems with axle seals leaking in the bigger peerless transaxles (820, 2300) or is that just a problem with the smaller 3/4 inch axle transaxles?

Our peerless 2300 leak Something we’re planning on fixing when we pull them apart to make shifter mods

How’d you get your peerless transaxle to go so fast! ? I have 16 horse Briggs with a 2300 transaxle. in 4 gear she still feels like it’s crawls
