Quick tip: monolithic anchors

Here's a good example of a quick and efficient anchor you can build on a tree if you top out a route and want to belay your partner up to you. It's also just as good for a top rope anchor!

Lithic is stone like in ancient greek, xulon is wood in ancient greek so I would say monoxulic anchor

I would always advise at a minimum trying to get 2 bomber anchor points. Personally, I always go with 3. Even if I have a giant tree or boulder I'll make sure I back it up as you never know what could happen to your anchors (in a congested top rope area) It's just a good practice to be in to never rely on monolithic anchors.

People safely trust monolithic anchors all the time, dude. But if you want to make a mess of rigging and take all day just to set up a belay, go for it.

@@Sicnus I’ve climbed for 34 years and did rope rescue for 25. Ryan is correct with his anchor choices. Trust that.

Especially if you are top roping as he was mentioning. If you want to reply back telling me how much of a nub I am feel free. I won't bother you anymore. Cheers!
