Great reminders! I have one suggestion to add, a lint roller. I have a mini one for my purse and a regular sized one for my car. I like the really sticky tape ones, a must if you have pets! Or, even if you don’t, it keeps you from looking schlumpy and unkempt.👍🏼💟

Kim! I have two tips to help control oily hair! I started a hair routine that is heat free and it took a while to figure out how to make my hair my hair look as good as it does when styled with heat, but once I figured it out one of the perks turned out to be less greasy hair. I usually get one more day of none grease. Also, coco! (From the baking aisle of your grocery store.) I stoped using aerosol dry shampoo because it was drying my hair TOO much. I use coco now because it matches my hair color, its healthier for my hair, and the container lasts longer so I have less trash. The only down side is its a bit messy. Use an old blush brush to apply and then wipe down the counter when done.

Doesn’t to coco transfer to like light pillow or clothes ?

I’m a dental hygienist and just wanted to note that charcoal toothpastes can be damaging to your teeth. They whiten using abrasives that erode the enamel which, over time, will cause your teeth to yellow because the inner layer (dentin) will begin to show through the thinning enamel. If you use an abrasive toothpaste for whitening purposes, be sure to use it infrequently. You can help prevent stains by rinsing your mouth or drinking water after eating or drinking heavily pigmented foods and drink (like coffee, tea, or dark soda).
@KimXO5 жыл бұрын
+Jana Enderle Thanks for sharing the information! I always hear so many mixed things. My dentist told me the same thing about rinsing. I actually try to brush my teeth after my morning coffee (if I can :)

The less you wash them the less oily they will be. Also don't underestimate the effects of a bad quality shampoo ! I used to have very greasy hair like every day and when I switched to shampoos with naturl ingredients (you feel no difference with a regular bad shampoo except for the foam which is not that abundant but who cares) I could go 5 days without washing them (they were clean like the first day). Recently I bought a bad quality shampoo again and Gosh I saw the difference immediately !!!!

Tucking in tops is super leg-lengthening, which most of us want. For two decades, only really long, tunic length tops were available, and it took me a while to figure out why I always looked so frumpy and dumpy. Now if a top is longer than my hip bones, I tuck it in. I don’t understand the insistence on covering the butt and tummy, they always look better uncovered, no matter what the body shape (and mine is far from ideal).

For hair: Avalon Organics makes a Tea Tree and Mint Oil shampoo and conditioner - you can buy it at most natural food stores( ex: Whole Foods, Better Health Store, Thrive Market). I use them twice a week with normal shampoo and a argon oil conditioner in between - which helps your hair balance the amount of oils it releases (yes, my greasy hair is washed every day also!).

2. Cold spoons are great for eye bags. Leave spoons in your freezer and put them under your eyes in the morning to soothe puffiness. ***you don’t need a full face of makeup if you’re doing a red lip, less is more. I do mascara, bronzer on my contour line, and I simplify by using my bronzer in my eye crease instead of a different shadow. This will help your look effortlessly put together because your makeup isn’t overdone. You can also avoid mascara on bottom lashes to draw away from eye bags. 5. Opt for fun earrings if the necklaces don’t mesh with your outfit. ☺️

I envy everyone that have lots of this natural lubrication (you call it grease) in their hair and face. You just take it from your roots out in the hair strands with your hands and it's the best hair balm you can find, custom made for you. Same with your face, just softly "rub" it into the skin. A scrub I was taught as a kid now there's two of them depending on you're skin type of you're in-between oily & dry mix the two one day so one the next the other. This also helps hugely with spots For oily skin: Get a half cup of salt and put 1-2 drops of olive oil (make sure there's no smell or you will end up smelling like it. I personally use the cheap one) For dry skin: You want half a cup of sugar and 1-2 drops olive oil Now you want it where when you push it together it slightly sticks together but you don't want too much oil it is a face scrub and should mostly be salt/sugar you can add up to half a teaspoon of olive oil. This will leave your face incredibly smooth and soft even if you have spots you will barely be able to see or feel them

@altitudeiseverything31635 жыл бұрын
I use Mineral Fusion brand, which I think is free of 5 of the toxic chemicals found in typical brands. It’s pretty durable, too! There are several similar brands that are marketed as “safe”, but some are only free of 3 or 4 of the most problematic ingredients. There are also less toxic nail polish removers, like Gabriel. Your local health food store, or Whole Foods, should have them. Not where most women would think to buy cosmetics, but conventional nail products are seriously toxic! It’s less an issue of ruining your nails, than it is inhaling the toxic volatile ingredients during application.
