A really big part of this job is removing the trim piece above the tail light you should go into detail how that comes off

@@borjafat I couldn't remove it myself even after removing all the screws shown in the video. I managed to bend it enough to reach the bulb inside the acrylic rear light and replace it and it did not break. But it was close.

It would have been helpful to show how to remove the upper black decorative piece of plastic without breaking any plastic or clips. Thats where I am stumped. Thanks anyway.

@ that would be helpful to future tail light changers. It was rather funny(and slightly frustrating)that the 4 or so videos I found on this subject had all left this, the only mystery of the whole process, out or their videos also. Thanks for your response

I'm doing the job right now what a poor design absolutely horrible totally chaotic couldn't they do a better job and just like plug in and plug out like normal ones do but thanks for your help 👍

Yes, My attempt on my 2014 chevy express was troubling...after I removed all the bolts , the impossible part was correctly threading the bolts to reattach the plastic housing...the space would not allow my fingers to hold the bolt so it fell and I couldn't find it again...
