hey guys so my best friend was in an unfortunate situation when she went to a "proffesional hairstyles" to get her hair done when the lady obviously didn't know what she was doing!!! she didn't use enough protection on her clients natural hair so the glue had gone through the cap and into her natural hair but good things come out of bad situations she decided to start her natural hair journey with me yaaayy

A quick weave is never suppose to be done without the weaving gel protector on top of your hair. This keeps the glue from sticking to your hair. When it's time to wash it out, the weave slides right off. FYI. Sorry you are going through this

The problem is everyone thinks oils and conditioner softens the glue, It doesn't! In my opinion t makes it stick to the hair more. And not to mention when the hair is wet it is in a more compromised position. Always try to remove as much glue as possible by combing the hair while its dry, and then use a shampoo specified for glue!!!!!!

I cut all my long hair off and now I'm so happy with it, my hair is softer and growing much faster than before when I used to dye it and always use heat on it. Wear a wig while you wait for your hair to grow out.

Sophia , I so agree....my old roomates was a hairdresser and I had long beautiful dark blonde hair....i let her highlight my hair....after a bottle of wine we left the damn bleach on too long and she was pulling my hair out in gelatinous clumps. My hair was in rough shape for a long time. the only thing that made it look any better was to heat style it...which ofcourse made it worse. I'm 3 years without color and my hair is all the way down my back again and looks better than it has in years

Back in the day when I used to glue my tracks in I used to put alcohol in a spray bottle and saturate the tracks where the glue was and let it sit in for 1-2 mins then slid the tracks down my hair strands without losing much hair at all (we shed 100 strands a day and that's about all that came out) then I would use a fine tooth comb to get the rest out. it literally took less than 10 mins total to remove the tracks and glue. The alcohol breaks the bond of the black hair glue almost instantly. Then I would immediately wash and deep condition afterwards.

I am a licensed cosmetologist and while I dont know wat this stylist actually did, never put oil on glue. that's why I hate glue remover (oil based ones), because they make it worst when you want to remove the glue. all it does is makes it liquify or turn more loose, which makes it hard to come out. I know this may sound crazy but you want the glue to be in clumps so that it's more easy to take out in one session. at this point in her hair it's best to use a heavy duty dish detergent mixed with conditioner while your hair is damp, and gently comb from the ends to the roots. Hope this helps.👍 ️ ☺️.

TickleMeTrish 13 isn't a quick weave supposed to be something like a tailored wig? I'm just asking because I don't wear stuff like this but it seemed like a decent change up until I saw this.
@goldaria9228
@goldaria9228 7 жыл бұрын
S Miller you can either make it a wig or make it like a weave. If you make it a weave it is glued on top of your head with a stocking cap directly underneath. If you make it a wig. You put a plastic cap under and then the stocking cap and glue the hair onto the stocking cap. The shower cap comes off easily and now the hair is just glued to a stocking cap and you can put it on whenever just like a wig. Honestly though normally you don't use as much glue as she had in her hair and you can use a water soluble sealant that the glue will stick to and will just wash off when you wash it but if you put it without that you can use mineral oil to help remove the glue. I wouldn't do it except for the wig with the shower cap kind. My friend used to do that and she would basically make a new wig for herself every weekend.

This happened to me once with braids... I went home pissed, called her back and demanded she take it out! She didn't know what she was doing... So, basically she made an appointment to take it down free AND REFUND MY MONEY and the cost of my hair! Too many people out there have NO clue of what they're doing! Kept my hair in braids until I finally had it! Did the chop...down to the fade! I had thick nappy Good hair! I know how she feels. Then I got sister locs...beautiful no more hair issues! Long and beautiful! Then blood pressure meds and narcotics and multiple surgeries back to back ruined my hair!!! Still is! I can't find anyone that just braids. No extension. No locs! So, I gave up and now I'm wearing a wig!!!😓😓😓😫 The drugs for my blood pressure and the different pain meds I'm on... Finally no more surgeries, I need to have my knees-yup both this time done, but I'm refusing for now! I'm not ready to be totally bald and thin because of my reactions to the drugs! I had REALLY SUPER THICK BEAUTIFUL NATURAL HAIR! DRUGS and BLACK PEOPLE...DON'T MIX!!!😓😫

A little bonding glue goes a long way. In this case she should have used a super moisturizing shampoo such as cream of nature, make sure the hair is very wet, full of suds and start out with big tooth comb and begin in small sections at the ends and work out the glue from the ends towards the scalp. Use more shampoo and water as needed til all of the large chunks are out. Rocking the comb gently through the strands and not forcing through. Once the bulk of all the glue is removed, then move down to a smaller tooth comb with both large and fine teeth starting with the large side first and ending with the small teeth last until all of the glue residue is removed . Rinse and precede with a cleansing shampoo and deep conditioner. Never use a small tooth comb in the beginning of this process of removing glue. And remember a little bonding glue goes a long way. Beware of who you let bond your hair. I have been in the hair and beauty industry for over twenty years and have seen many nightmares such as this. This is a service that should always be professionally done by a reputable stylist. Great damage to the hair can be done and can be irreversible if bonding is done incorrectly and removed incorrectly. This is a case of both here in the video.

Something kind of similar happened to me back in March: the hair salon I’ve been going to for 11 years burnt like 40% of my hair completely off (it was mid back length and I’m 6’4”). They immediately wrapped it so I didn’t notice until 2 days later but I had to shave my hair all the way down to a buzzcut. I’ve only been natural for 6 months and it’s been a struggle and a half so I commend her for actually cutting the damage.

Since I was seven years old I relaxed my hair and I was fine with it. Until one faithful day on 2015 I big piece of chunk of hair just got stuck on the hairbrush and decided to do the big chop. I am loving my natural hair and not messing with it since then. Its a hard ass desicion, but once you see the beautiful results you love it.
