Hello to all of my QuickBooks fans using the multi-currency feature in QuickBooks Desktop!! This QuickBooks training tutorial will show you how to record receiving payment in the non-home, foreign currency from an international overseas customer and depositing their currency in to your own bank account that accepts the currency of your client. You can set up a foreign bank account overseas to be able to get paid for international transactions where the customer must pay in their own currency. do you have an example when there are 3 currencies and there is a transfer between the non base accounts, say my desktop pro is USD dollar based but I need to post a transfer between a canadian account and an euro account
@worldwidequickbooks9 ай бұрын
Thank you but you cannot do that You would have to transfer the money to a u s bank account and then from the u s bank account transfer to the third currency , but you cannot transfer from one currency to another unless one of the currencies is the home currency If you find a way then let me know And it would be helpful if you click on the top right corner of this video to get the link to the full playlist You would better understand everything if you watched the playlist in proper order. Cuz each video was only a few minutes and then everything will be clear I hope you will click like and subscribe Mark

@thequickbooksdude Can you help me with a work around for the duplicate invoice numbers created within each currency. I noticed in your example the invoice started with Invoice#1, but what do you do to prevent each currency from having the same Invoice#1. I'm using EURO and USD currencies in my QB Desktop and I keep running into issues where the same invoice number is used for both since you do NOT receive a warning if the same invoice number is used on the other currency.

You can put whatever invoice numbers you like You could open any prior transaction and change the document number or the transaction number to anything. You want just by opening app the transaction and making the change and saving it so you can come app with whatever indexing system you like for your transaction numbers. And your invoice numbers Mark.

Hi. If a EUR customer who was charged with an invoice in EUR, He pay you in GBP and your base currency is USD how QBO helps to record this transaction
@worldwidequickbooks Жыл бұрын
You cannot do that. Firstly, it will be clear why you cannot do that. This plylist clearly explains that it's "1 currency to a customer". You would need to make an additional cusotmer on the custoemr list mnd then assign the third currency to that customer. It will be clear if you click in the top-right corner of this video to get the link to the full multi-currency playlist. If you watch it in proper order, you will leanr clealry and easily and you will know what to do. -Mark

Hi, I have a scenario that I bill a customer in another currency. My currency is PKR and customer currency is AED. I received the amount in a foreign bank in AED against the bill. Now the issue is that foreign banks will send the amount to my local bank in USD then convert it into my local currency i.e. PKR. Please guide how can I handle this issue. Thanks.
