Hi, I am using a file texture to create a pattern on my carpet. I have it plugged into the base mesh aiStandardSurface, as well as the HairPhysicalShader in both the root and tip. The carpet looks really dark. I can up the exposure on my skydome light which fixes the carpet colour but then my background textures get blown out. Do you have any idea how to fix the lighting? thanks!

Hey I have a question! So I want to make my carpet into a layer so that I can hide and unhide it, but when I try to hide it it does nothing. I know its connected to the layer because when I choose "select objects" on the layer drop down, it selects my carpet. Just can't hide it. Any help appreciated

xGen only works in Maya. I think you'll have to convert the fur into geometry. Modify>Convert> Convert xGen to primitives. I personally haven't tried it, but it might give you A LOT of geometry! Good luck!

Can u say me how to fix polygon fill bleed in substance painter ... When I try to colour using polygon fill it's gets jaggy edges bleed (Not able to fill perfectly inside the box)

I know it's a late reply but I was having the same problem. I found by experimenting (idk if it's the right way to do it but its works) that if you subdivide your square (I used like 20 subdivs on width and length) it will take the full shape of your square

the tutorial is nice but as soon as i start to change the density to 2 xgen says "you need 2000.000".... after 3 hours of trying and trying again i gave up and will try again in a few days... but very good explenaitions an error on my side does not change the greatness of this tutorial
