Thanks for yet another great tutorial. How would one go about making this so that each clone attaches to a certain pre-determined spline? I ask because this effect would be great if the clones traced an image or a logo as the end result.

...that is, have it start random and unordered with turbulence, etc (like your sphere) but then end up tracing an image or some logo splines.

awesome tut...I was trying to make this by myself before finding this video, but couldnt get the tracers to wrap around the Big Sphere since i was using an emitter for the smaller spheres, any way to do this using an emitter instead of a cloner?

+Sebastián Hidalgo. +MutinyGK ' See your sweep nurbs, you have to have a spline ontop of the tracer object there for anything to be rendered. BTW if you want to get rid of those streaks out of the sphere you can set the cloner size to be like 201 cm in scale (provided your big sphere is 200cm).
