Another great video.. The subsonic HP has been my new back yard pest round, when it hits hard and blows a big hole. Have not used the suppressor rounds, but the subsonic HP work well on red squirrels, chipmunks, porcupines, possums, ...etc., saving my bird feeders.

40 yards! Your test results here pretty much mirror my experience with the CCI loads. Great video! Nice shooting as well. I think both loads are adequate for squirrel hunting at 50 yards. I need to do some more testing. I have had very good luck with Aquila Super extra subsonic ammo, but I haven't shot any of the current production. I need to get some and do a comparison. Thanks for sharing. I've only recently noticed the 'suppressor' version of CCI ammo in the gun store and I've been wondering about it. It could be a safer choice (with its lower speed and slightly less range) for those times when you need to shoot near populated areas. CCI subsonics are what I mostly use and they have performed pretty well on small game along with the occasional feral goat and pigs. Shooting CCI subs through a rifle with a suppressor, I have experienced a number of 'cracks'... presumably caused by a few bullets breaking the sound barrier. This is less likely to happen with the nominally slower suppressor ammo. I think I have to buy some. Best wishes from New Zealand.
