What really upsets me is how so many people who are passionate of silverstream hate millie. Personally, I quite like Millie and I find her as an honourable cat who denied the chance of an easy lifestyle to be with her true love. I was quite upset when she moved to elders den as she is such a valuable cat. I get a good half of the fandom despises Millie for 'taking Silverstream's place' but really I see both of them as well built characters.

Millie is a less sassy Silverstream who felt as if she had one kit because of Briarlight crippling that ruined her life. People hate her because she "stole Graystripe from Silverstream," because you can apparently only have one love and when they die you have to suffer forever. Silverstream was a cocky, sassy, daughter of Crookedstar. People love her. They really aren't that different, which might be why Graystripe fell for both Millie and Silverstream, and why Graystripe was a little more reluctant to admit his love, because he didn't want to lose Millie like he did Silverstream. Silverstream needs love, but so does Millie. In fact, Silverstream is already very popular. Millie deserves more love, I think.

Very good character study. I admit that I have never been a fan of Silverstream, but your video really helped me to see her in a new light and even appreciate her as a character a little more. I really wish she would've gotten more attention outside of her romance, that way more people (myself included) could actually remember her more as a person she was and not as a love interest to Greystripe.

I've always had neutral feelings toward Sandstorm, but she is a great she-cat. If I can find an angle that interests me long enough, (trust me, these things are a real pain to put together) I'll see what I can do.

Quiet Rage While we’re on the topic of Silverstream’s legacy, you know what I think would be nice? A Super Edition/novella about Stormfur, where we get to see his kits and his relationship with Brook get more development, as well as getting to see the Tribe of Rushing Water on one of their normal days, where they’re not making contact with the Clans or in need of their help, and we just get to see more of their everyday life.

@@ammonitetheseaserpent3761 Hell, I'd settle for a novella where he pours out his problems to graystripe in private. Making his behavior in A Shadow in RiverClan & the new prophecy more concrete. That graystripe was the only other cat he could talk to about the pain he suffered and thus tries to be friendly and open despite how inside? He's scared or seething. It would make a nice contrast to feathertail and also fleshout his relationship with his dad. Maybe even make him uncertin about hawkfrost simply because of how much he reminds him of the Tom who killed his mentor & almost got him and his sister murdered. Thus trying his best not to place his personal issues on an undeserving party but tries to help hawkfrost understand that there's more to being a warrior than fighting and killing.

I'm flip-flopping. I didn't cry at all when Silverstream died. The only feeling that was going through my head was triumph. "You had it coming b!tch" I mean, she was literally crossing a RIVER, pregnant! But I have to say her sass and comebacks are LIT bruh. Personally, Sliverstream has always been kind of a “meh” character for me. I didn’t cry at her death and I never liked her stupid “I’m the clan leaders daughter so nothing bad will happen to me” shtick. I didn’t necessarily HATE her, I only ever thought of her as a love interest that tragically died. But my opinions might be a bit biased because I don’t like forbidden love stories in general (but BluexOak is still my OTP ;))

I love silverstream! The first book in the series I read was Crookedstar's promise, and silverstream's death was very similar to her mother's, willowbreeze, both dying during birth. I cried my eyes out when both of them died. And the fact that Silverstream is so arrogant and that she stands her ground but at the same time being sweet and understanding makes her a great character!

I personally never liked Silverstream. She wasn't very clever and she was very stubborn and selfish. Every time she would meet Graystripe, she would say something along the lines of "nothing will go wrong because I'm the leader's daughter!" She was kind of disrespectful towards Crookedstar and could bend him to her will any time. It was also confirmed that she bullied her foster littermates as a kit, not letting them get enough milk, which would have caused their deaths.

This is the warriors fandom EVERYONE that's not depressed, or constantly anxious, or bat shit crazy is a Mary Sue for stupid reasons. I loved Silverstream, but hated her at the same time. I never felt “envious” of Millie, and instead found her to be, in a way, the opposite of Silverstream. Silverstream was “pretty,” while Millie had a “pretty” personality. The only reason why I despite Millie a little is due to the scene in which Blossomfall and Ivypool got lost in the tunnels, Millie was a terrible mother, caring only for Brairlight.

I may not like Silverstream myself, but I do agree she is a good character. However, I notice during the video that you called Crookedstar narrow-minded, which I think is DEFINITELY not true. Are you forgetting that Willowbreeze was half-clan? You could say he was blinded by love, as in the case of not telling Riverclan about Oakheart's kits and Silverstream's forbidden relationship with Graystripe, but I don't think that's the case. Although he was very loyal to Riverclan above all else, he still seemed to me to be VERY open-minded about these things.

I really appreciate this video! It showed so much on how Silverstream was such a hot head but a great character and what really made her great was that usually when we see a queen that raises her kits is most likely gonna make her to attached, but with Silverstream she barely knew her kits and if she did, it would have made a terrible cat like Speckletail with Snowkit. If Silverstream has lived it would have meant that Mapleshade never made a promise with Crookedstar.

Silverstream was considered VERY attractive; Aphrodite was considered the most attractive Goddess. If Silverstream was considered beloved, it doesn't matter the amount of mates; for example, Psyche had never dated anyone but because of her otherworldly beauty, was called the "New Aphrodite," and people thought her to be Aphrodite masquerading as a mortal. Note that Eros was her only real lover, and that the general populous thought her to be dead when she and Eros fell in love. Being called an Aphrodite is more about beauty than having thousands of girlfriends/boyfriends/~friends ;)~ of any other gender. EDIT: Aphrodite definitely had many lovers

Ink Smudge I think it's along the idea that as a goddess, Aphrodite is underrated and usually sterotyped as an attention seeking, frivolous, and dumb girl, despite the fact there is more to who she is and what she can do. Silverstream is a similar character, as she is typically seen similar to the stereotype Aphrodite.

Ok, the only reason Silverstreems didn't make me cry is because I read the WORST/(best) book to read first Bluestars prophecy.... So the first cat I cryed over was Moonflower, then Snowfur, then Mosskit All those together kinda stopped me from feeling for Silverstreems death simply because all those cats deaths in one book ment so much more since tat was the FIRST warriors book I read. I mean her death was sad but it just didn't hit home for me, especially after Moonflower, oh gosh I cried so hard

Silverstream was the character that got me into Warriors -- there's a Silverstream in My Little Pony, and I heard NUMEROUS people saying "Oh like Silverstream from Warriors!" so I HAD to check it out!! She's been one of my faves ever since. Also, for some reason I didn't cry over her death, probably because I don't often cry over book characters, but the first scene I DID cry over (that wasn't even a death) was when Alderpaw and Needlepaw took Twigkit and Violetkit to see each other again, it felt refreshing after the two sisters were cruelly separated. I think the first death I cried over (or at least came close to crying over) was Mosskit's.

I can relate to your "reading the books in the wrong order" situation... Everyone seems to hate Millie so much. I never understood that because I had read the manga of her and Graystripe before I even reached the part where he went missing in the main books. Beside the fact I was never worried for Graystripe because of this, always knowing he'd be back and just waiting for the moment, when he turned up with Millie it was no shock for me and I already knew what a great cat she was before she was even introduced. It was as weird not sharing the fictional characters' mistrust of her then as it is not sharing the fans' disapproval of her now.

hm. I should make a Silverstream map. After all, she was orphaned, her adopted mother Sunfish understood, because her friend Leopardstar was also an orphan, but not quite. Her adopted siblings are kind of assholes, then they all die. Her father was never that close to her either, and she was alone. She became a strong warrior though, and meets Graystripe. She saves his fat ass and then begins meeting him in secret, intrigued. They become mates and she has his kits. She drags herself to Sunningrocks, and dies. She appears in StarClan giving cats advice, and watching over her beloved Graystripe.

Silverstream is my 2nd favourite warrior cat ever, she is an amazing character and the daughter of my third favourite and fourth favourite cats Crookedstar and Willowbreeze. My fav is Grey Wing, he needs more recognition he was such a great cat and a loving father to Thunder when Clear Sky rejected him.

I feel like another character similar to Silverstream has the same attention. Goldenflower. I haven’t seen anyone call her a Mary Sue. However, if you search up Goldenflower maps, it is mostly based on her relationship with Tigerstar. I would love to see animations or drawings from her life story. If you think about it, she lost most of her kits. Swiftpaw was killed by dogs, Tawnypaw left to go to ShadowClan, and she was left with Bramblepaw, which most of the Clan didn’t trust because he looked like Tigerstar. I can’t imagine the pain she had to go through :(

But, the thing about this is you're talking about people hating on you because they don't like Silverstream, but EVERYONE LOVES HER! I don't know anyone (except for myself) who doesn't like silver.

Y'know, I think that she is only known for her relationship with Greystripe, just like sandstorm. In all of these maps, they only include her relationship with Greystripe. I mean, search up Sandstorm maps. She is only important for her relationship with Firestar. I don't like cats who are only known for being mates of liked characters. It's just... Sad.

I never hate a cat and I have reasons that Millie is better. First off, people say that Millie should’ve take a warriors name, a warriors name! Did you know the other warriors with no warrior names, Boulder, brook,daisy, and even more characters! Also they said that Millie “stole” gray stripe from silver stream that’s, hmm, already dead! It’s like buying a used piano that have been owned by a dead person. Also she Saves graystripe. That’s it. Oh and don’t forget that this ship have less of a risky move in a warrior code stand point. And why do people complain that she focuses on briarlight. Well then, imagine that your child have an injury that have make them never complete there dream and might die. Yea you might have look close to them too and yes ignoring your other children is like the only thing that is bad about Millie, in my PURRSPECTIVE. But I do love the firestar X graystripe better tho

I totally agree with you, every word. Millie’s love for Briarlight is overwhelming to Blossomfall but she shouldn’t go as far as to train with the Dark Forest ctas. Blossomfall is very selfish, if you think about it. She wants her mother to love her, I get that. And Millie does love her, she just wants Briarlight to have a good life and not get killed. So, this it is mainly Bloosomfall’s fault that Millie is hated on so much, most people think that she is a bad mother when they should actually take Blossomfall as a bad character.

I read the first book, and then all books in power of three, plus maps and spoilers everywhere, so when I heard Silverstream died, I was like, oh aww she died. Then I read a part of the fourth apprentice. 😐 warriors is seriously messed up for me, I'm upset.

(I'm caught up now BTW) 2:48-3:33 I had a similar experience with marvel. I had seen Iron man long after its release and liked it, but didn't think much of it. Some time passes and infinite war drops. every one was all over it and many youtubers were talking about it. So I watched infinite war . . . with no context. I relate to your situation.
