Things are starting to look a lot more manageable now that you're down to just one main enemy with less backdoors into your empire.

You may be underestimating how quickly fleets can travel with hyper relays...conquered territory is full of them so ships move super fast along those lines. Building routes in your own territory would also be a good way to use up a little bit of influence.
