The Male raptor design (2001) is actually my favourite design of Velociraptor in the franchise! I wish they kept it for future projects, maybe in Jurassic 7. Who knows

It's more due to someone wanting to shift around dinosaur names that had some debate around when Crichton was writing Jurassic Park, grouping a lot of species as Velociraptors and that's the name used with it.

@@gary_something_else6417 Nope, Utahraptors are actually basically the same size, about 2 metres tall and about 4-6 metres long from the tip of the snout to the tip of the tail! So you were wrong, but I’m not trying to be rude or anything, what size did you think Utahs were? Like the size of Concavenator? Also Herrerasaurus was actually about *3/4 the size* of an accurate Velociraptor! And accurate Velos were about 3ft tall and about double the length of their height!

To be honest the velociraptors from Jurassic park 3 were on a very different level than the other raptors in the newer films, the intelligence they showed in setting traps and communication were top notch, not bashing the raptors in the new films but Quilliam and his pack were a step above in my opinion, they weren’t pets to be trained they were efficient trackers and killers

The JP3 ferals are my favorite too. The quills give them a very punk look (punk-raptors?). I'm not sure why the alpha female is quite bit different from the males, both in size and coloring but nature often throws these things up. They seem smarter in many ways to the 'tame' raptors in the later movies. Great video Swrv!!

They were for the most part just focused on protecting their nest and members as they immediately came to the trapped male's calls. Very different than the Tiger tribe filled with rowdy males that would attack one another at the slightest provocation. It's quite fascinating to see how different they behave.

A small part of me wishes at the end of dominion we would have seen Blue and Beta meet up with the jp3 Raptors in the mainland I like the idea of them finding a new pack to be part of

I agree and have also been saying that. Like beta gets tracked by jp3 raptors as they'll be curious and meat blue as well. My guess blue would be defensive and would need to fight a little to get into the pack but it's not like the jp2 killing each other. But it would be call for blue and beta to join a pack of jp3 raptors currently at war with jp2 raptors for territory and for example blue saves one jp3 raptor lile the leader giving blue respect and a place in the pack
