This video is exceptional - a wealth of information based on experience, clear instructions and superb camera work where the directions are backed up with visuals which are actually visual!! Nancy and team thank you so much. Love, love, love that machine :-) I have Pfaff (which I love) but the Icon purrs along like a Rolls Royce. Thanks again everyone.

Great tutorial, thank-you. I do not have the book so I cannot work out where NOT to quilt if my qayg is 4 x 5 blocks. Is there a formula?. I get how you worked it out for the 2 x 2 blocks in your video.

It is generally the bottom sashings of the rows, leave those quilted. And if you do, you can just take out a bit, then you really learn how :) - Happy Quilting - Nancy

Nancy I missed where you talked about the backing, batting and basting in the previous video "QAYG Sashing" that you spoke about here in the beginning of this video..I am making a large block and using this method they involve HST though and I know you spoke about how not to cut off the points in one of your videos but I have re-listened to several and can't find it...HELPPP Thanks! Love your accuracy way of thinking!! Thanks for this wonderful series, I am way too old to push a quilt under my machine..Love this technique and have order Marti's book, Beth's is next

I’ve looked everywhere for lickedy grip to no avail. Out of stock everywhere. Not sure if it’s still being manufactured. Is there a product that comes close? Most products talk about being used in an office setting to help with paperwork.

Yes Corinne you can use SortKwik and it’s available at firesidequilts.com in www.firesidequilts.com/module/search_content.htm?form_version=2&showSearchResults=1&search_keyword=Sort&btnSearchSubmit=Search

Wear is the part where the sashing were attached? I can't find it! I don't understand how to attach them with batting?
@QuiltingWithNancy3 жыл бұрын
The sashings should already be attached as placed in the Sashings video. Then you will baste the blocks that have their sashings attached and quilt them as needed. Some do not get quilted until they are attached to their neighboring block or row.

Nancy, I finally found your review and basting video so I'm set. It wasn't consecutive after the sashings video so I was confused. To determine which sashings are NOT quilted are they the ones that are joined only, and the outside parameter sashings are quilted then?
@QuiltingWithNancy4 жыл бұрын
Hi - correct, the sashing then is to be connected to the next block isn't quilted until after you connect the block. Thanks for watching!
