This is really a good way to use up orphan quilt blocks, most quilters have them laying around looking for a purpose.. Loved the video, thanks

Thank you. Very cute. I recommend using plenty of spray starch on the fabric strip.

LOL Non quilter here was thinking honey bun, those sticky treats that come prepackaged! Have a good laugh, Karen! Love that you provide such easy projects for gifts.

Oh yes!🤣😂I can see how you would think that at first. That's so funny...I'm pretty sure you're not the only one.😆I confused my husband with those terms when I first started quilting. Thanks for watching! 😊

Love these ideas!! I love to decorate towels. Another way for me to decorate the towel is instead of turning the raw edge I would use either ric-rac or washable ribbon. And like you said... You can decorate for anytime.

What kind of towels do you use? Where to buy them?
@BlueRoosterFarmАй бұрын
I just pick up different kinds of kitchen towels that are 100% cotton and are basic enough to add my own quilting. Better quality towels will wash up better and last longer. I always check out the kitchen towel isle at Marshalls, The Home Store, & TJ Maxx...they normally carry brands that are well made. Thanks for asking and watching my video!😊. Happy Holidays!

What are honey buns? I’m a quilter but I’ve never heard of them.
@BlueRoosterFarmАй бұрын
Good question! It is what Moda calls their rolls of 1 1/2" strips. Just like their other precuts (jelly rolls, charms, layer cakes, etc...) each roll contains at least one strip of each fabric in a designer's fabric line. The buns contain 40 strips that measure 1 1/2" by the width of fabric. They are not as popular as the other precuts so that may be why you haven't heard of them before. Thanks for watching! Merry Christmas!😊
