I am a new subscriber. I had bought a quilt magazine because it had this pattern in it, but soon learn that it was written up incorrectly. I was frustrated because I could not get it to come out and wasted so much fabric. I thought to myself type in the pattern in you tube to see if there is a tutorial. This is when I came across your tutorial. I love how you put this block together and made it easy to understand. Thank you for being so kind in sharing this. It means more than you know.

I am so happy that we were able to help Wanda 😊. It is so frustrating when patterns are incorrect. This is such a lovely block, its definitely one of my favourites.

This block has so much fun movement. The first one I made was from a Kansas City Star pattern (updated). For any wishing to reduce seams, 4 at a time flying geese and with 2 clipped corners on the other block it shares in a corner works. (You can make a pinwheel for the center block with the clipped corner HSTs).

Thank you, found the jack in a box pattern in an old quilting book, constructed differently and it did not work for me. KZbind and I found you. Just made 1 and it worked out great. Many thanks
