Wow, so much inspiration and so many good tips! The wrap is stunning and elegant! I had no idea you could use these feet in this way, and never thought of loading this type of fabric on the machine. Wow - thank you so much for sharing your creativity!

WOW, such a beautiful piece. I have many pieces of wool cashmere to make coats for my mum, daughters and myself that I was going to "quilt" designs on before sewing the coats. This is brilliant!!!!! xxxxxxxxxxx

Soutache is gorgeous on that wool. I have a basic Juki machine I do not think it has a felting foot. That would be cool on a wool hat! Too hot here to wear wool clothes even in winter. Got to visit colder climates for that! It’s gorgeous no doubt:)

Deborah, what about a purse or a table runner?
@deborahemielita59492 жыл бұрын
@@DH-oq4fk Thanks, yes a purse or embellishment on a hat might be a great way to try that out. Love the felted slippers I’ve seen on Etsy but that’s a little too much. I looked up felting on you tube (love the cat head I saw there) and the felting could be done by hand once I’ve stitched it down on my Juki, as you describe with wash away thread. I had no idea wash away thread existed! So I will keep your ideas in mind for something in future! Thanks so much! Love your quilting adventures and this is a beautiful technique!

Is there a reason you can’t felt with the Pro Sticher design.
@DH-oq4fk2 жыл бұрын
Do you mean can you felt with the felting foot running Pro-Stitcher? I cannot because I have an Infinity and the felting foot won’t work on that machine. Also, you would have to find the right combination of stitch length and cruise speed to get just the right amount of felting. One or two insertions of the needles over that amount and you’ve pushed too much fiber through to the back side. If you try it, please let us know how it goes!
