Tip for 2M challenges, spamming 1-0-X glues is more effective than 0-1(2)-X glues as the glue effects all the bloons’ layers and there is usually enough cash to more than make up for the lack of pierce.

I am a 2-0-3 glue enjoyer Especially if we're not talking CHIMPS. You can regain that pierce with Primary Training, and double down with Permabrew to give a total map slowdown. Did you know glue received acid-tipped dart bonuses?? It literally doubles the DPS of 5-0-2 glue gunner he becomes a total beast

As a massive FE fan I recommend three houses to a lot of people because it has a lot interesting characters and is replayable with a few routes though the strategy is easier in that game (but due to quality of life features so I'd recommend it) Engage wasn't a bad experience either but not mind blowing for me at any rate

A few notes for buffs and such: If you're running glues anyway, top path village is a cheap and very effective way to buff your support towers. Extra range and pierce really do make an impression. If you decide not to go for the middle path village, spamming middle path ninjas can be very good, just throw them under a discount village (along with your overclock) to save up some money. They don't take any pops away but drastically slow down rounds like 95 and 99, it's a real stress-saver. Alchemists are very easy to underestimate since they're pretty much dedicated supports (or very, very awkward DPS towers if they're middle path) but that Perishing Potions upgrade makes them actually slap fortified zeppelins and ceramics. That's why 98 gave your alchemist so many pops in such a ridiculously short time. It does practically nothing for your actual buffs, so generally just go bottom path if you decide to crosspath it at all.

ok Chris i've got a tricky mission for ya. get a working ring of fire/infernal ring on the middle barrel of chimps spillway. there are atleast two heros/methods to do it with. tipp: an unbuffed RoF with the range crosspath has neither camo detection nor enough range to hit anything other than moabs :)

QUICK TIP: When you put a village (9:03) you should make it also target your alchemist if possible, because then he throws potions faster and has a higher up-time buffing other towers Edit: Before anyone says that it would make the alchemist pop bloons in a 2 mega pops, I know. I definitely recommend FE Engage! It's much more gameplay focused compared to Three Houses which has a LOT of downtime exploring/doing tasks/etc in the monastery, along with long cutscenes. Plus I enjoy the actual gameplay far more in Engage than Three Houses!

The reason the alchemist was getting so many pops was because you bought the perishing potions upgrade. It doesn’t do anything for the buffs, but it makes the alchemist attacks to a lot of MOAB and fortified damage. Next time you do a 2MP, definitely skip perishing potions.

It do upgrade the buffs by increasing their duration and number of shots possible before it wears off. Perishing potions become useless when we get the permabrew

I recommend Engage. Three Houses is heavy on the story and Engage is heavy on the gameplay, with them being lighter in the other. Thanks to the emblem system, there is a lot more strategy to go into each map.

Well about the Fire Emblem question. Engage focuses more on the strategy layer its story is certainly not its selling point. However three houses still gives you the full FE experience. To be safe you can always watch the short reviews by ING for the 2 games and decide from there.

In regards to your Fire Emblem query, I do suggest Engage over 3 Houses. 3 Houses features a branching story line and extremely customizable units in the sense that you can train literally anyone to be literally any class in the game. Engage focuses on the Engage rings, which provide stat boosts and powerful weapons, and skills to your units, but they never feel overpowered. 3 Houses dumped the weapon triangle in exchange for breaker skills, but it’s back in Engage as a way to break the target’s stance, preventing counterattacks in their next combat, and the enemy can do that to. You have to be mindful of the threats you tackle and who faces them.

Old Fire Emblem games are still very good and enjoyable. In my opinion, GBA emblem games are still the Goat. For newer Fire Emblem , i recomend Awakening. Its on Nintendo 3DS but you can still play it on an Emulated.

The reason the Perma Brew got so many pops on R98 is because he was crosspathed as a 5-2-0 with the Perishing Potions upgrade, and Perishing Potions removes fortification of Non-Moab class bloons. So when the Bfbs and Moabs broke down into ceramics, the Alchemist took away the fortification and got a lot of pops.

Hi SJB, long time FE fan, I've played almost every game in the series, and am about to get Engage as well. I would say it would be best to just go for Engage, many quality of life improvements that don't dilute the gameplay and don't tarnish the difficulty. Weapons no longer degrade so you don't have to micromanage and undergear units to save money like you do in the previous games. You also aren't penalized by losing stats long term from promoting units early (before lol 20 base class) because of a change in character lvl system. Also all difficulties offer the ability to roll back a turn 10 times per battle so you can be a little more aggressive and not have to restart the entire battle to not lose someone on accident or a random crit. You can also chose to play with or without permadeath.

Something I learned about C.H.I.M.P.S. mode is that half a million of the 2 million pops come from just rounds 99 and 100 (or maybe 98, 99, and 100, something like that.) Fully 25% of the total in two or three rounds. So don't worry _too_ too much about getting pops stolen from your target tower in the early rounds, the end of the mid game and late game is your real bread and butter.

You SJB, tip, you need to get faster throwing in on alchemist. It will make the brews always be on the tower you are buffing. Middle path lets the alchemist get pops a little to fast.

If you do another 2mp I reccomend not going middle path crosspath alch, although its Better when buffing a single tower it does alot more damage and defortifies ceramics which takes alot of pops.

You should give Three Houses a try. The gameplay is really fun and the side stories are really cool too. The main story is good and you can also do the game trhee times for each of the houses. The characters are absolutly lovable.

@SJB Been a fan of the channel for a year or so and you asking about Fire Emblem is so cool, Fire Emblem is a huge passion of mine so here is my two cents. Three houses has some of the best customization options in any Fire Emblem game, Its very deep in its complexity but also very easy to pick up, I've done lots a challenge runs with the game and I replay a lot. Engage is looking like a very good game as well, personally I think what speaks to you the most just go for it, both games have great voice acting. I personally believe three houses is better ATM it has such a rich world to explore and with the spin off game three hopes bringing more content. Btw your content has inspired me to do stuff similar with three houses and solo running with one fire emblem unit. Keep up the good work man.

Go for engage over 3 houses if you're only in it for the strategy. In 3 houses you spend an eternity "training" units outside of battle. I was only barely able to make it through 1 playthrough bc of that. Story is great tho. Have absolutely loved engage but haven't finished it yet. But for specifically for gameplay fates (for the 3ds) was my favorite (it lacks heavily in the story department tho). Awakening is basically the perfect fire emblem game for both story and gameplay

Engage GAMEPLAY wise beats three houses. Three Houses may have more hours but way more filler while Engage hard rewards the player for pushing through to the hardest difficulty. Engage story wise is uh, go into it like you're going into a cheesy average anime for filler. Not a bad story, just cheesy.

I would say after path of radiance the obvious next step is Radiant Dawn, the sequel to path of Radiance. Definitely can be rather difficult on the highest difficulty but I certainly think that the middle one is noth fun and still not super easy. If you like it really difficult and don't mind bad story I would also recommend Fates Conquest

This isnt new. GG tho. One strat you should try is an energizer, hero, and then spam 302 druids. After a bunch, level hero to lvl 20, then get some debuffs. Quincy, Churchill, Brickell, and other high moab damage heroes work best
