I just thought of a compromise for the 2 sides of the Arc Trooper argument. They can keep his abilities as they are but change how the right hand ability works. At the moment it toggles between 2 rates of fire They can change it so when you toggle it, it makes the guns manual and you can use both triggers to fire, just like they were before the update. This obviously makes the power blast unavailable. To use the power blast you will need to switch back to the slow automatic rate of fire

I just figured this out today, but there are countless other Grievous players that have found that Grievous's dodge ability is actually on par with Vader's in the sense that you can dodge at a specific distance, a distance that actually gives the Grievous player a whiplash amount of time to retaliate on the attacker before the attacker can even turn their direction to the new position you have taken up near them. If you turn around quick enough while dodging forward past the attacker and striking, Grievous's melee targeting system locks onto the attacker at lightning speed from the side or back, "slashing" them up. And you basically just have to keep doing that. Grievous has NOT been nerfed, they secretly buffed his targeting system after dodging, making him react quickly with a retaliated melee strike or strikes if you're fast enough. The trick to Grievous now is like Vader; dodge and retaliate from the side or rear fast enough, beating attackers to aligning themselves with you. Of course having the soldier sensitivity in the controls raised to 60 or higher definitely helps with the "dodge and strike back" ability, but then this will most likely lead to opposing team members raising their own sensitivies too, matching yours. The higher the sensitivity, the more it looks like what Palpatine and Windu's super sonic Vaapad based duel as described in the novel should have looked like in the movie. And with Anakin and Luke at 60 or higher, it's pretty unpredictable. But I have found that even Grievous's dodge while still close enough to the attacker gives him the ability to swing back and hit almost any super fast Luke, Anakin, or Obi Wan player at a breakneck pace. It's actually AWESOME and very true to Grievous's agility as depicted in the cartoons when you get used to it. And if you're a light side hero playing against a Grievous player with this same understanding of his dodge ability, it's going to PISS you off XD This may be new for Grievous, or maybe he's ALWAYS had it and not enough of us had made use of his dodge ability. Dooku's dodge is also the best, but his retaliation is a bit slower as he has a slow looking slide animation, while Vader's is stealthy quick, and Grievous's is just purely frenetic mayhem every time he dodges. Grievous is still strong sauce against in-game lightsaber users. For shooters? Still not so much. I think that's specifically based on Grievous's design in general, he has a lot of exposed areas on him. Yes he is agile and too fast for many Jedi because of his advanced cybernetics, but it's been proven he just can't deflect smoothly enough (cause he doesn't have the Force to guide his sabers to deflect each and every blaster shot sensed by actual Force users) or build enough stamina to sustain himself against a hail of blaster fire. Because after all, his body parts are 90% mechanical and are prone to performance errors like any technology. Evidence of this is shown in the original Tartakovsky cartoon that had him tearing up Jedi but ultimately retreating from a rescue team of Clones and their gunship.

I swear. Anakin's Heroic Might and Retribution gets me killed more times than it kills, especially with this Unlimited Power mode going on. Bossk is actually really strong, but with his jump nerf, he is on the ground for longer so he gets hit more. Also my biggest bug is that his predictor instinct has such a long animation that he will take 2 hits from a lightsaber to activate it, considering his jump nerf, he needs to be able to activate it in the air or instantly

For ARC Trooper. Honestly what they did was try to streamline the character for all players no matter the skill level. For those who couldn't handle the dual wielding,now they've changed it. I can understand why, but kinda doesn't work. My big change would be to unlock the fire rate cap and let players fire as fast as they can pull the trigger during that fast fire rate mode they added. Slow accuracy can remain capped as is while Fast mode can remove the auto firing by just holding the trigger. It wouldn't be as fast as the original but I think it would be an ok compromise.

if GA had better map design like WA did in 2015 then it might be a good game mode. GA is bad because it constantly funnels you into a spamfest meatgrinder. And on most maps it gets worse and worse as the map progresses. And the out of bounds areas are so restrictive that you can't pull off much for flank play.

The jump makes sense because neither bossk nor grievous are force sensitive, so they don’t just gracefully float down, they just fall back because they don’t use the force to lighten their fall. I feel like sometimes people just complain about things that were done for a reason.

Yes I love how I jump and fall to the map like a ton of stones when I'm a light lizard man And with Grevious, I love launching up and falling maybe 2 inches away from my start point Usually both characters' jumps are trash, which sucks considering how easily you can kill anyone with a normal jump, but with those two in particular, its like just sitting there accepting death is better than trying to jump away thanks especially to the hit boxes that suck when you land an inch or two away from where you started. The at-st sometimes wont fire the grenades even though it says it did, and will still have to recharge. This happens about every 4 or 5 grenade triggers.

I know this is way later after support was cut off from the game... But one thing I definitely didn't like was the replacing the Wookie Warrior reinforcement's Healing ability with the Slamming ability. Seriously... Why did they do that?! It made the Wookie not as fun to use and not to mention weaker. I can understand why Chewbacca has it because he's a hero and has a lot of health. But giving it to the Wookie Warrior by replacing his healing ability. REALLY DICE?! REALLY?! Wookies are meant to be tough! And this healing ability helped show that!

For my part, in HvV, a problem I often run into is the force push. I get pushed by Luke for example, and when in the air I rollback a bit and end up right in front of them or in a ridiculous angle. Sometimes, when playing the droids (Yeah I'm a troll), my character just decides to disappear. Try to micro your way out against 3 angry sith lords with that.

I’d say one change I hate is how rey’s mind trick goes through blocks. I mostly play hero showdown with my friend and rey’s mindtrick ruins any fight she is in. It has zero counters and is usually fine in more chaotic game modes, but in 2v2 situations it is terrible. I’m okay with the reverse to movement but not being able to turn your character is guarenteed damage if the enemy has the competence to just walk behind you and slash at your back, which you cannot block. You should be able to block it just like every other force ability in the entire game (leave obi’s as is)

I’ve been encountering a really strange bug, where the standard droid blaster has been one shorting me, even as heroes, at full health. It makes the age of the republic almost unplayable on certain maps like Geonosis and Kashyyyk. It doesn’t really happen on Kamino or Felucia though. It’s weird.

5:17 I think if you press and hold the cancel button as the map countdown begins and as the screen begins to scroll to the map you can actually release the cancel button and it will take you back to the previous screen. Quinn, there's a way to know what map you are getting before choosing your hero. If you click the right-menu button, there's a box on the right side that tells you the mode and has a small header that describes the precise map you are joining.

Grievous is actually really good right now. I’ve been having a ton of fun as him. But his stamina is garbage and some problems with unrelenting advance persist. Also his jump is still awkward as well. But thrust surge works 95% of the time now. It’s great.
