Something about Quintessa that I don’t like, if you guys agree, is that her face looks too human and not like an extraterrestrial look if you know what I mean. But I also remembered that a lot of Transformers, especially Autobots, look more human now than in the first movie. The purpose maybe is to make us sympathize with them more like humans instead of just alien machines.

They did this universe dirty it was different weird humans yeah..but when the transformers were on screen they stole the movie as they should. There is a fan creation coming out in 2023 it looks good. Paramount and Hasbro are going to the more G1 inspired and beasts Wars direction wich are not bad but there are some elements the Bayverse has that other transformers don't have that makes it good to people that magic if you will.

Quintessa is such a weird realization of the creators concept She’s an obvious reference to the quintessons but she’s named after the planet they come from rather than any of the actual named quintessons of which there are admittedly few But she also calls herself “the prime of life” which might be a reference to quintus prime who values all life in all its forms and in some cases actually created the quintessons whom in turn killed him. except he’s a male character . . . And would never do any of the things presented in this movie Then the knights call her the great deceiver which is a title shared by Liege Maximo but that’s a bit of a reach since there’s nothing special about being called a liar however quintessa’s infernocons do share a superficial resemblance to him at least conceptually. And at least one version of him might have tentacles like hers (he only showed up in one page so hard to tell) So either these are all a bunch of stupid coincidences or she really is just a really weird multilayered reference

These movies had fantastic action sequences and visual effects but the continuity between them was a hot mess. For example: How did quintenssa tie into the 7 original primes from the second movie? How did Megatron make a deal with Sentinel Prime who crash landed on the moon in the early 1960s during the opening scene of the third movie when he was frozen in ice long before he was found by Archibald Witwicky in 1897?

In DoTM, it's stated that Sentinel and Megatron made the deal to rendezvous on Earth far prior to the loss of Sentinel's ship and Megatron getting stuck in ice.

@@EXILEvenom The age of the deal is never implied but is an issue considering Autobots vs. Decepticon battles were resolved in human timespans during the movies so their politics should also evolve at the same pace. The deal with Sentinel also had nothing to do with Megatron’s original purpose for coming to Earth during the first movie, which was to retrieve the Allspark. It’s clear they didn’t have a rough draft story of the movies as a franchise and just made movies individually shoehorning and retconning as necessary.

The first thing I can think of that seemed like it fell into the "mystical" category was the Matrix, which they introduced in the '86 film, and it doesn't fit into Prime's origin story from the series. The cube from tf2007 also feels a little mystical just because of that "before time began" crap, but otherwise, the film felt like genuine science fiction. This full blown magic holy war stuff that I'm pretty sure was sparked up by TFP didn't hit the live action movies until tf5.
