Not much in this home - home not house - not much on its own is really my taste but assembled altogether I love it, I loved him and I loved his eclecticism, all his tales of provenance and his infectious delight at being alive. The garden is paradise on earth, the views are gorgeous, put the next video up now, I can’t wait to see it. Also, I loved Susanna’s dress in this episode. OMG, I didn't realize it's a newer house, not a traditional Moroccan house that's had every last trace of traditional architecture remodeled out of it. I was expecting a completely restored traditional home in the Medina. What a pleasant surprise! Addendum: These interiors are so calm. Everything has its place, and not one thing shouts "look at me" they just say "I'm here".

I had expected brighter colors and greater use of Moorish motifs, but after learning of the English influence via New Zealand, his style make sense. The ebony bed!!! And that view! I love how he explained Gibraltar and Spain are 'just over there'. Every day must be a treat in this amazing place. I too like to frame tapestries and embroidered pieces; the first I did to protect it from dust, and soot coming from the fireplace, then I realized I loved the look. Also keeps them safe from cats, who manage to levitate when there is something you really don't want them to claw, lol. I so enjoy hearing the thought process these various designers put into their homes, and how they really live when not on camera. I also love the spicy scent of carnations, which are the birth month flower for us January folks. Again...that view!

Absolutely Fabulous ❤ I have a red Geranium at my front door. They are robust, cheerful and will grow in the hot Australian sun. Thanks for showing us this gorgeous house and its stories.
